Hi, I just won a $25+$5 ticket to a $10,000 GT that is going to take place on Action Poker on May 12th. I was wondering if there will be more mobsters around in this tourney. I can’t remember of ever playing for so much money. Still don’t know what type of field I will catch (if big or small, full of donks or only sharks), but I think I will “stick to the book” to reach the better place possible. Wish me luck!

that is great. i think if there is alot of satalites to this then there will be a few...erm...less gifted poker players. but i think you can expect to find a nice selection of players at that buy in.
just pay attention and weed out the weak players. but i dont think you need me to tell you that.

Nice one dude.
Last time I qualified for a tournament ticket I won a $90 one. Went all in with KK during the midstage and some dumbass ploughed their chips in with Ax and caught an ace if i remember.
It came from a qualifier for peanuts so I wasn't too pissed.

Thats a good one. I think you should play your normal game, and dont start thinking that it is a big tournament that need to play it differently cause that may stress you at the end. gl and i hope you finishing in the money

Definitely good advice.
On the $90 ticket I thought I need to play different - you really don't. The buyin really shouldnt influence your game one iota.

Very nice fakiry, I wish you good luck. I ever won ticket to 100K Gtd 3 times before, but didn't win prize . They played well there, not much bad beat by crap card like 93, J5 , Q3 except in HU ( steal blind ). I think play safe and tight will give you hope to win prize. Learn MicroMachina video when he play at 100K gtd and he won $600. Don't limp in just to see flop, most of the time they raised

i won a couple of$109 tickets to the big sunday game, i can't remember the prize but it was huge, i played differently from usual super tight i was (lol) but it didn't help me any, before i knew it my stack was getting low and i had to start chasing bad idea,i think i finished in the 500's twice out of 1200 or 1300 but it was good experience and if i win another one i will definitely play it my usual way.
anyway gl when you play and i hope you at least get in the money.

Yes! This is the best comment I read.
If you play your own game, as if it were a 0,10 buyin tournament you will play your best game and you'll be on ITM for sure.

TAG = tight aggressive like you already said middle open up = during the middle stages of the tourney you shall loose up a little bit / playing more hands Maniac = I guess you know that
