Carbon Poker/Merge Network Problems and Fears  0
Hi all,

Looks like my VIP points earned at Carbon aren't updating. I played last night and this morning and neither are showing up as earned for this month, strange thing is they are showing up on the 150K freeroll tracker and the percentage completion of my bonus was updated over night, but this morning games are not.

I'm obviously going to email support but I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems too? I'm a little worried because things usually update near instantly there and now with all this Lock Poker business . . . I hope Merge isn't on the rocks, no Full Tilt repeats please. I like Merge, I hope they stick around.

Thanks for easing my troubled mind.

I thought business would have been booming for merge since black friday, if the us players don't play there where are they Confused I wouldn't worry about the points thing, could be a whole host of reasons for that happening.

Quick update: Looks like the fields are updating just a really long delay, longer than I thought. So we're all good there.

Still wondering about how the Lock walk out will affect Merge though, any thoughts? I heard Lock made up around 40% of Merge's traffic, and that's a big change they'll have to barrel through.

Good to hear hat everything is okay with your vip points but frankly i understand the US players for not playing online now...

I mean in any time all the merge sites could be closed by doj as pokerstars and full tilt poker were on blk friday Sad

Just to be clear: I'm not saying that they will have financial problems, I've just been hearing rumors. Merge has been around for a long time and I don't expect Lock leaving will end them, but it will certainly bring about some changes.

I'm just going to keep enough to play with, and withdraw winnings as I go. Poker Sites aren't ban accounts so it's always a good idea to not store too much funds there.

Anyone else heard anything about the future of Merge?

apparently the D.O.J. were looking into merge last year, something to do with them taking american players i read somewhere that they're supposed to have stopped taking new american players.
i know this is a bit vague but thats what i can remember offhand.

Actually since my joining about 3 months ago there on-line players has more then doubled. I believe a lot of Americans were sitting back hoping for a quicker resolution to the FT deal, but after seeing nothing take place, they started seeking out other sites. At least that's what I did!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I got my big withdrawal cashed out from Carbon. I had to verify my ID first obviously but that was pretty seemless. The whole process took about a week so as far as I can tell Carbon is paying out just fine.

Carbon is a big site in this network and if im not mistaken i think its the biggest one,
so if nothing happens with US and DOJ they are here to stay for sure.
The may delay cash outs some times but havent heard about any troubles in this section so far

I like the merge network software too, but they changed there vip syxtem certainly two years ago. In the past you´ve got a part of points in every hand at the table. The new vip points system are not so good, but rooms like carbon etc. have nice reload offers at any time.
