His beginner errors are awesome, about the bankroll management, it is just remembering what we did when we started. And his first $10k event was also an event to remember. First sitting near Todd Brunson and realizing how many pros feel now that the thrill of the beginning of poker career has passed, and then sitting next to Daniel Negreanu and watch a pro behaving just like a normal person, which is exactly what he is, but media has the effect of putting people like him in a pedestal. Now is Phil Galfond who is reaching that status… still have a lot to do, but already have done a lot!

Thats an awesome story.

I think a lot of people with his skill would have left college earlier than he did, got big headed, left their old life behind and blown their BR - he's level headed for sure.

Interesting what he says about being an introvert and needing alone time - i get that.

nice story- always interesting to hear what the pro's of nowadays have to say, what was their path to glory etc. the moral to the story i think is that all great things start from small ones, just take step by step and you will be heading towards your dream. good luck everyone in making their dreams a reality

Good story... a bit too long however. Great man, great player.
I liked the KQ vs KJ hand story. If I were in his position if felt like getting the car and kicking the ass of the villain… no matter where he is…LOL. Villain call at the turn is to bad to be true.

Great story, read it all.
Funny to see most players have ''the gamble'' inside, like Galfond BlackJack, but they know its a EV- game.
