The 2012 Spring Championship of Online Poker is now over as 2 days of Main Event action, low, medium and high, are over. The Main Even Low attracted a field of 22,128 players which generated a prize pool of $2,212,800! 3,150 players received a share of the prize pool and "john_tri80" from Greece took down the event for $198,725,75.

Once again no one from Portugal on these lists, but there are a lot of germans among the best paid places, two in the low buy-in and five (!) in the high one. Btw, I also didn’t recognize any nickname, to see if there was any mobster on it. Maybe not on these top places, but I believe there may exist a couple of mobsters that went on these main events…

The main event - 3 way split?
What's going on with people. That's just lame. Everyone knows that splits mean the rest of the hands are altered by this factor, you never have a true champion.
I understand the need for money, but when youre still getting a huge payout in 3rd it's a joke to be splitting.

Our way to think about a big payout perhaps it’s not the same of these guys. If I (dreaming) manage to reach a final heads up of a big event in which the first prize would be $1.5 million and the 2nd was $700K, I would be joyful if my opponent would propose me a deal. The truth is everybody wants to have more when there’s that chance. Why taking the risk of getting less when you can guarantee more? “Money for nothing” is only at the Dire Straits music (“and the chicks for free”, well, that part would be the rest of the dream after winning the game)!!!
