Jens "Jeans89" Kyllönen, whose name many recognize from PokerStars nosebleed tables, has confirmed that he will take part in the $1 million buy-in event called BIG ONE for ONE DROP at this summer's World Series of Poker ($111,111 from each buy-in will be donated to the ONE DROP, a nonprofit organization that finds clean water for people worldwide in an effort to fight poverty). That event is just insane.

Imagine, first hand AA vs KK lol.

I'm not surprised alot of pros are avoiding this - it does devalue other tournaments.

There's not that many who can handle that huge a buy-in, even the top pros.

i'm not sure this devalues other tournaments (but i have to agree that main event with 10 k buy in looks kinda funny compared with this 1 mil buyin) i think this can only be compared to nosebleed action- similar stuff here, and i see this as a sit and go rather than tourney...

These prizes must be something anyone would dream about. Does Jens Kyllönen needs to win to pass Juha Helppi in the Finnish All Time Money List, or a 2nd or 3rd place is enough? And looks like there are many amateurs among the 39 registered players. Jens calls them amateurs, but they shouldn’t be “normal” amateurs, having $1M available to pay for this buy-in…

There'll be plenty rich business people no doubt ready to spunk their cash away.

"Guess what guys? I just played at a table with some of the top poker pros in the world!!"

"How much did you win?"

"I lost $1M...."

This is poker on another level. But the buy in is all relative to their bankroll and the potential winnings.....no different to the guy who puts £50,000 on a horse in a race or a football match, other than at least playing poker you have some element of control over what happens and can generally only blame yourself if you make a bad move at the wrong time. Will be intersting to see who buys in!"
