2012 WSOP: Phil Hellmuth as good as ready for the $1m buy-in event!

In an interview that was published 22/5, 11-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth said that there is a big chance that he will play the $1,000,000 buy-in event Big One for One Drop at this summer's WSOP because he has found stakers to pay a large chunk of the massive buy-in. Hmm.

Motivation yeah, but he'll be in a field with some very aggressive players.

And we know what happens when Phil plays LAG types...*blow out*

I wouldn't favour him, although he is a great tourney player, this doesn't have the feel of a WSOP event.

After reading this text I got the impression that Phil Helmut is a very humble person, like if he didn’t had the notion of what he represents in the poker world. Was he surprised for having someone telling him he would help him support the costs (and, obviously, the profits, if there are some)? Ok, supporting someone with $100 is not the same of doing it with $250k, but Phil is used to look at values like this.

PHil's not in the same league as a lot of high stake cash game players.

He has shown this on TV and I don't think he makes a tonne online either.

He certainly isn't humble either lol

Interetsing one of the "most famous" trial attorneys is wiling to stake him - what crimes has Hellmuth committed that we don't know of?

I would have bet anything that Phil Hellmuth will take part on this event, i mean it's too big not to take part in it Big Smile

I also think many pros that play this event will be staked for at least half of the buy in Smile
