Dam it's so nasty when it happens to you, but amazing when you cooler someone else.

BB at 1000, had around 11k in chips. JJ in SB.

One dude shoves, figure he's on AK/AQ - for 8000k

I know it's a coin flip but at this stage I need to double up big time.

So I shove all my chips.

And then...BB calls.

Never good... BB flips AA, original AI shows AK.

No one improves.

NYARF..

Most important is you played it good.
Its much worse being shorty to fold your JJ, so just unlucky and next Agree

Lol.

Doomdy is right, be glad you made the right call, you can't play scared of the rare huge hands. It's unlucky, but's that's all it is, given the same circumstances do it every time and you'll come out profitable. Hopefully you'll catch your Jack next time.

It really depends on what stage of the tournament you are, sometimes it's not wrong if you ask me to shove even with JJ.

But again this is when you play mtt, you need to expect a huge variance so better luck next time!

It was after about 2:45 hours play, blinds were big, chipleader was way ahead, still 30 off places off a cash.

Shove every time.

While i hate pocket jacks at that stage of the game i would have done exactly the same thing.
With 30 more places to go to be in the money, it was definitely the right move.
Better luck next time.

I always have to have that gut feeling if I play pocket jacks, that is allin. I generally prefer to see the flop with jj and qq just because of being burnt to many times. It's just like getting KK opening hand in a game and someone goes allin. They generally have an A and the flop usually supports this on opening hand.
