It was a really exciting final table of Event #2 ($1,500 NLHE) as previous bracelet winners Vanessa Selbst, JP Kelly and Andrew Badecker were on it. Gosh, that Q10 versus KK loss from Badecker must have hurt him a lot. I could almost bet that when he went all-in with the 10’s he was already thinking he was going home after that hand. A beat like that full house causes damages in a tourney that can turn irreversible. I’m not saying he played bad going all-in with 10’s, I’m just saying he probably wasn’t already believing it could give him victory. And that final hand: Bazeley did well in re-raising the pot, and Hanks must have been real confident on that ace. After so many hours, in which there were probably similar hands played, although not with such confrontation, putting all the game in an A8… doesn’t seem reasonable, but gave him the first prize, and that’s what counts.

must be great to start the WSOP with a positive result for all the final tablers.

poker is very momentum based, I'm sure it'll give confidence to most of them for future events.

that fullhouse hand was sick though - tournament killer.
