I've never used one, but definitely become confused and lost reading the long hand histories which we've all posted. I'd like to learn about them and become user friendly. Good idea!

Like I wrote earlier, feel free to e-mail me links to those hand converts etc: tony (at) bankrollmob.com

Then we can take a look and see if it's something we can buy the rights to use, without their branding/ads in them.

E-mailed.

We've contacted one site that has a hand converter that seems to cover most rooms. Unfortunately they want quite a high fee per month for it, so much that it will cost us around $25 per hand history posted in the forum, so that's not really worth it Smile

But feel free to send in some more suggestions to tony (at) bankrollmob.com if you know of any hand converters out there, then we'll contact them to ask if it's possible to rent/buy usage rights.

Did you post the number right admin, and did i read it right?
25US$ for each hand history? lol
This is ridiculous, what they were thinking. Really

It will cost less having someone in monthly payroll and making the pics
in windows Paint lol.

I laughed a lot with it Smile

The number is correct but I didn't explain it good enough or you misunderstood Big Smile

With the current amount of hand histories posted here, the monthly price of the hand converter would equal around $25 per hand history posted. Of course the more hand histories posted, the cheaper "per hand history" the price is, but the monthly lease of the hand converter software stays the same.

My point simply is: The amount of money they want per month, is not worth it considering how few hand histories are posted here. Even if the amount of hand histories posted would triple, it would still cost us around $10 on average, per hand history.

If we had 1000 hand histories posted per month, the cost per history would be probably be acceptable.

I can send you 50 000 hand histories right away Blink

Now it makes more sense Smile You should say per total hand history, but then i wouldnt have
laughed so much, and i always appreciate a good laugh.

And yes i get your point and agree with it since the amount of hand histories here isnt so
big.

To be honest with current amount of hand histories i would go either for something free
or with a small one time fee.

Well as I said in my e-mail, the issue isn't so much BRM having their own hand converter. Users can just as easily use one on a different site and just c/p it here. The other thing that would need to be done, is to make your forum software behave properly with the converted format.

Case in point here's one I converted:

Button ($0.96)
CO ($2)
BB ($0.98)
MP2 ($1.40)
SB ($1.92)
Hero (MP1) ($2.57)
UTG ($2.82)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 4, J
3 folds, CO bets $0.06, 1 fold, SB calls $0.05, BB calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.18) Q, 3, Q (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, CO checks

Turn: ($0.18) J (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $0.09, CO calls $0.09, 1 fold

River: ($0.36) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $0.35, 1 fold

Total pot: $0.36

It looks fine when I post it in a different forum, but here it just gets totally bunged up. Best I can guess, is it has to do with the way your software handles short codes, and also the way it handles HTML tags such as [ b ] for bolding.

It's no problem to change the tags around so they behave better, the problem is that when people copy paste hand histories, they all an advertisement in top, from that site where the hand was converted - and we don't want that.

Imho i rather have Ace of spades King of hearts then 7 of clubs 7 of diamonds but many say rather any pockets like 3 of diamonds 3 of hearts or 6 of spades 6 of hearts then high facecards like King of hearts Queen of spades
But wot to say about suited ones like Ace of clubs King of clubs?
Then the odds go up a little bit compaired to example 2 of diamonds 2 of clubs

Yes it works......... Agree
