Had a terrible, terrible night at the tables.  0
Played 2 tables of Zoom and stars, and also 1-2 tabled 6max at yachting. Did fine at yachting, up a few buyins, but not doing much on stars. Then I ran into back to back coolers on starts, Boat over boat:

Like, how often is villain showing up with AA. Pretty sandard re-steal by my part. Tanked for a few seconds when he shoved, but figured no way is he showing up with a hand that beats me. Woops, I was wrong.

Rest of my night went to s**t. Lost 3 buyins total on stars, and all of the profit I made at yachting for the night. After the back to back bad beats, I KNEW I was starting to play s**tty, and it just got worse and worse, but for the first time in a VERY long time, I went on a total tilt bender and kept playing, despite knowing I was playing s**t.

So disgusted with myself right now. Posted this as a reminder to myself and others why it's SO IMPORTANT to stop playing when you know you're tilting.

What really pisses me off, is I'm only around 2k hands away of hitting my goal of 40,000 hands, but i feel like I need to take a few days off of poker.

Instead of worrying about your 40K hands goal or whatever else poker related, you should work on your mindset..
If stuff lke this is pissing you off enough to make a rage-forum-post about it it shows you dont have the right one yet

The first hand must have hurt (QQQKK vs 777KK), but i think that, if i were you, i would have bet something after flop and turn. It could be the same end, but that way you would know your oponente already had something before the KK come to the table. The second hand you played exactly like you should, and those things happen and there’s nothing to complain about. It may not happen that often in a situation like this, and those who count cards may start laughing about me, but each hand is a new game.

Downswings are really hard....tilting is more damaging though....I use to tilt laso before when my aces get beaten by small pair or maybe a junk....i get easily tilted and wash the money out i earned from freerolls....that was before....now if this happens...i usually take a deep breath and relax and say wow....that was amazing...i should bet to him the next time i have a strong and hope he does not suck out again....lol.....

your conclusion is right, I agree. And I add one thing :luck factor. If we on bad luck is terrible, everything went wrong. had crap card so long, when had good card lost Sad Win small pot, lost big pot.
Winning card is bad card. I just know one good player said : if fail play with good card try play crap card !! She is winning player as I know and experience !
Good luck in rest from poker 2 or 3 days Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

The boat on boat is mega tough to get away from and 90% of the time you're shoving it - so thats simply a cooler you have no control over.

The second one I don't like so much, JJ's aren't great for shoving especially when they shoved first - you did the right thing reraising but when they shoved you should have folded although I can only guess in zoom its easy to get into a shove mindset.

Even if they have AK there's a decent chance you're going to lose, just don't like it. Coolered again to an extent but you could have got away from it.

I thinhk the important point you raise is knowing when to quit when you're playing shitty poker. It's just crucial to walk away.

And to take a few days break - very good idea, or at least one, then re-assess the situation.

Where did you see 1 single badbeat?
77 versus QQ is no badbeat and JJ versus AA is no badbeat.

Anyway i told you before this kind of hands is so standard.
The time you see these things just like ''variance'' is the time you gonna be closer to become a better player.
These hands arent worth posting, these hands arent worth tilting about, invest your time in doing 1 or 2 or 3 extra tables so grind far more.
If you start tilting about these hands you absolutely never gonna make it, thats a pity cos every time i read your posts i see some love for the poker game so imo there is a good start but also every time i see some screw up in things like this.
Dont want to sound harsh but really dont see any tiltness in these 2 hands its so uber standard.
If you tilt about a 1 or 2 outer i can see the point.
Dont want to be rude but tilt is for donks.

So these hands are just setups nothing more and deffo no badbeats.

was yesterday all day long at pokerstars.. and some hours also at other pokerrooms,,,

and it was disaster again,,,,deposited 10 euro...made it 26-28 dollar...then got bubbled...rivered on important hands,,,which make all the difference between winning and losing..or get even..went down under initial 10euro ,then moved up again to 30$ and lost it allin the end...and trust my words, if i say i have not played different at later hours of this session,,,

i win 20 A-Q's or A-K's ,but the cashbringing hand i get rivered...Luck at this point is the biggest factor of all ,if u ask me...

We all know when and how to play a hand ,,but none of us control the river...the last street which dicedes if ur out in 124rth place out of 17000 players ,,or you'll reach final table and win the mother...thing Blink ( 100k freeroll yesterday)

so that was also 1 result of mine yesterday...running deep ,overaverage stack...and ofcourse got kicked out with premium hand...thnx pokergods...

After losing my bankroll on stars ,i shut down the computer...although i had 2 nice freerolls with tickets i qualified for...got fed up...lost interest and passion to play on for another 5-7 hours...

waited all week for this sunday ,disappointment got the overhand...

what did sunday bring me??? 0ver 50 emails of tournamentprizes at pokerstars, but still lost BR,

and did not free my stellar reward of 50$ ,,at 88,6 % now...so 2 days of play at lowest possible micro's should do it...

how to tilt in tournaments???? just get kicked out at bubble or near it with best hand,,

4-5 times in a row...that what's tilts me... Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused

Well,, gonna try qualify for next sunday's freerolls or whatever interesting tournaments there are on...then deposit another 100 euro divided over 4 rooms...

If i mess up again... i might just quit poker for a while...and know i am too short in luck to be succesfull..

today at yachting finished 5th,,,while 4 get a ticket...another bubble adventure...GRRR Aww crap!

So shutdown all poker and came to see what's new here and read the forum...and stuff Tongue

PokerSkills

Being fresh and well rested
pokertracker (player info)
Trust your feeling or not
serious opponents...instead of what the hack, just bet and hope win..
Luck or bad luck at river

Too much factors which influence ,ur winning or losing...or waisting 50+ hours and get breakeven.

One has to be úberpositive and love poker,,,,or just admit he is an addict and play on

I used to say gambling is a cliché,, not something u can control..even being a pro..

Poker is considered not gambling, but skillgame...

If u look at the result influencing factors...which u can't control all 7,might even missed some..

I can only make 1 conclusion,,: poker is a form of gambling...or should i say? Tongueoker is gambling?

Each time u shove ...Small blind vs BBlind : K-Q ofsuited - against X-X u are gambling..speculating ur opponent has a weaker hand.

So lets say he has a weaker hand: Bingo ,u speculated good..but still haven't won the hand...

there always a flop, turn ,river..that can still kill u...(haven't mentioned all other crazy spots one can get into)

And yes in 95% of all Sng's i play pass half of the field or reach final table...still get unstatisfying results at end of day...

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Another very anoying thing...on poker 770 ..you pay 2+0.40$ for double up Sng's

So 20 percent registration fee...if u play them all day ,,you end up losing money..only by paying

registration fees...if u win u win 1.6 $ ,if u lose it's 2.4$

this is not fair,,,it just sucks big time if u ask me...anyone may reply on this...please..

So poker 770 ...should change this reg.fee bulls**tt or they will lose only players instead of gaining more..

However some bussinessman,,like to take from their custumors as much as possible for the period
they are a custumor..and if they lose this client..the don't give a s**t,,just exploit the next
dumbass ,willing to buy their product...

As long as they make money ,it's good for them .and if the bussines colapses,,they just set-up another bussiness. with same kind of formula...make max profit on their custumors. Evil Evil

to reply on doomdy....: tilt is for donks....

i don't get tilted...i get angry....then play even more determined and focused....get angry again and again and again and again....get dissapointed in the end....

playing 7-7 in early position is a donkplay in 80% of all cases...unless its very cheap to join the hand ...it's never an all in preflophand...

and yes, retribution...each time u play such medium or lower pair ,,,expect the worst to happen...even when u hit ur set....that's the risk and penalty for playing such hands...

I say to myself: PLAY AS LESS WEAK or MEDIUMHANDS as POSSIBLE,,because it's even hard to win ur PREMIUMHANDS.

Or as i said before : poker is like playing pac-man...do not mess with the ghosts...they will catch u ,if u don't concentrate on just clearing the dots.

at cashtables ,some players just only make calls..and never be the initial aggresorthemselves...they call with monsters...the rest the fold...

on the long run ,these uberpaitent players win money...and the aggressors do also in some case...but that's fast money, they morelikely face these patient guys and see they made another bad call or raise.. Aww crap!

Agreed, very standard coolers. Not bad beats. If you were playing live against a tight opponent and he shoves, these two hands are actually foldable, even the set of 7s (would be a genius fold of course). But this is online poker, it's very very hard to respect players enough to lay down monsters, even when you know they're tight. (overpairs and sets are monsters usually) So BeMyATM is right on the money, you should see this as variance and move on.

Anyways, I don't think you did anything wrong there. If losing these hands feels bad then it means you're used to winning in similar spots ^^

uhhcalmi --> Luck is important short term when you play too big games for your BR... If you're ahead most of the time you put your money in, in the end you won't really need luck. It's statistics. Of course bad luck hurts when you're playing your whole BR and we've all done it trying to double up, but that's your (our) choice to take such risks.

I saw you are playing zoom poker on pokerstars and the fisr question that i have for you is: Do you use a tracking software??

I can tell you from my experience on rush poker from full tilt thats useless to play rush/zoom without a HUD...

   0
In RUSH like games set tends to be the Av winning hand, unlike 2 pair in normal games, so play bottom set(2n to bottom) with caution, from an early opener.(yes you make FH, but I would be thinking hear he has better FH or best situation ak FTW)
Again following the same lines, in any sort of game, a shove from a re-raise tends to shout AA KK QQ some with AK, in RUSH style I expect to be facing AA KK.
3 BIs on these games are little, I'd be happy to lose that in a normal game Vs bad run.(obviously variants)

I think they are worth posting, that's how you get feedback.
