just been watching the live stream of event #43 of the wsop $2500 NLHE and Neil Channing has just finished second.

He was the chip leader for a while but then got his chips in as a 2/1 chip dog with AdJd and got called by 44. needless to say he didnt improve.

Unlucky Neil, would of been nice to see one of the nicest blokes in poker to get a bracelet.

Yeah saw that in the results. Would have been nice to see another Brit get in the bracelets and especially for someone whos been going for over a decade.

On a side note - has there ever been a Scottish bracelet winner?

I'm struggling to think of a good Scottish poker player at all.

Good scottish player?
Look no further than David Vamplew. the guy is really good.

he's cashed in 4events in this years wsop. he won ept/ukipt london in 2010 won the ukipt tourny of champions the same year. 3rd in wpt venis at start of 2011.

he won ept tallin in aug 2011. and has had many other cashes and final tables.

so yeah scotland has a great poker player there. i'd put my money on him getting a bracelet in the next 5years easy.

His oponente at the final HU had all the lucky poker gods looking for him. And this way the press can even make better titles, just look at the winners story. He came to this event with a ticket for having won another event and he didn’t knew how to play at this. So he had one year to prepare for this and, when the moment comes, he is fully ready and gets the first prize. What could be better? Neil Channing can wait.
