Hey there Mobsters!
It has been a while... So many new screen names I don't recognize, welcome to the coolest poker forum on the net! So much has been going on with me, (not really poker related) that I don't know where to start. Well to make a long, boring story really short. I moved back to the Mid-West, &away from sunny California. Gave it up for the heat & humidity of home. Or at least where I first learned the game of poker. Sitting at kitchen tables playing for change with family, at the ripe old age of about seven. Unfortunately, I liquidated my bankroll in the process of the move. Which means not only have I not been able to play online, but I haven't gotten to play live much. I did start to build a small bankroll, when I first got back. I lost my first two sessions, in .25-.50 home games. Then I started crushing the local home games again as I got a feel for the players, winning my next 6 sessions. Had I not been just moving back & starting completely from scratch, I would pobably still have a bankroll. I spent a lot of the $ on living expenses unfortunately. Followed by back to back losing sessions. It's good to finally have internet again & be able to start blogging & re-joining the online poker community. This site is so usefull to keeping your game sharp. Even if you're not on the felt, this is a place you can go to talk poker & strategy, tell a few jokes, or just get to know other fellow poker players. it's good to be back. Cool Good Luck on the felt my fellow Mobsters.
Btw, Did we ever do the Mobster T-Shirt thing?? Confused

No, unfortunately. A good amount of work went into it (mostly from one of our members in Canada) but for now it turns out to be both too expensive and too much effort. But never say never.

Welcome back mate, i wonder why you moved back to mid-west from cali, i have a friend that did the opposite and it's very excited but i presume on your case it's work related.

Did you continued to play online poker or know you play only live??

official brm store would actually be a very great thing- for everyone, brm would get extra attention and publicity, and brm members would get a chance to show off their love for their fav site- if there would be a possibility to pay for the good with brm points this would be even more awesome.
i don't know if anyone offered this and if this is a viable option, but it would be the easiest (not the least expensive) way to quickly make this a reality by just opening official brm store at a site like cafepress.com, or any similar- they would take care of all the logistics & printing- all that brm has to do is to somehow connect brm points as a currency to pay for the goods (if they want to use points to buy goods directly for points)

Thanks for all the welcome backs. I haven't played online since Black friday really, & I don't really have my own computer yet. Moved back bc of the end of a 5yr relationship. She cleaned me out. Family is back here in the Stl area. Helping me get back on my feet. Hope to return to the online felt soon enough though. I started to play on carbon, but I already forgot my pw. I'll have to look into it. I have been working a lot since I moved back, so hopefully it won't take long to make it back to the felt. Both real & virtual. Until then GL on the felt Mobsters.

I was wondering if St Louis is where you are living. I pass through there every 3 to 4 months since I have a friend out that way down towards the six flags area off interstate 57. I believe that's the correct route.
I have a computer that's not to bad and if you want it I'll ship it to you with the Factory Settings Disc. You could re-install it to factory settings and do whatever you need. It's not to bad for an E-machine that's about 4 years old. you would need a monitor. If so, I'll check shipping costs and if not to much send it on my penny to help you out with a computer at least. Let me know!

I hear ya Hoodie...just got out of a 3 yr relationship. Atleast, I got to keep my truck.

And huge Koodos to Greenmohave. That is quite the gesture of fellowship.

Good luck to all and Happy Canada Day to all the Canucks in BRM world.

Peace.

Hi hoodi420, welcome back to the best poker discussion site ever made, which is improving every day that passes with new members and new ideas to turn it even more spectacular! Online poker scene is suffering some changes, maybe you haven't noticed some rooms closed and some countries are now limited to play against players from their own country, governments are starting to mess with online poker. First they must have thought this was just another kids game, but when they realize the proportion it has now, moving billions of $$$, that sure called their atention and now they are looking for the best way to get their share and we are the sacrificated ones. But don't worry, there's still lots of action and places where yuo can build your bankroll. GL

Green,
Thanks for the offer! I'm not very computer savy, most of that stuff you just said sounds like chinnese to me, but I'm sure I could find a friend to help me get it set-up. Just been using my aunts computer to get back online lately. If you're coming through the Stl area you will have to get a hold of me. We'll have to go grind it out for a few hours somewhere. Once I'm more back on my feet. For now I'm just happy to join the online communitty again. @ Fakiry let's just say I've been more or less living under a bed the past 2 months. I haven't had much access to the web, & being bust & all haven't been to any casino''s to pick up the latest Poker Player Newspaper, or issue of Card Player. I thought I had heard some other countries cracking down on online poker, it's sad to hear. I know that my brother who could care less about poker, told me the other day he heard that there were laws here in the States that are about to pass. Possibly legalizing.... Not sure. though I am a member of the PPA, Poker Players Association( Green you should be too) Its a group dedicated to fighting( & lobbying) for Poker players rights here in the States.

About the computer, it's always available, but what's this PPA about? Can I Google it? I'm sure, dumb question, but I will be a member if your referencing it. Take care and I hope to meet you sometime since your relatively close. Sound like a very mature individual for being 30 years old. Remember I'm an old poop, but age isn't even what things are about. Peace!
