does any one else have occational stints of disconecton while playing at pkr its cut me out 5 times in ths tourney and says ive lost my connection even when im freely browsng this web site with no problems
and then reconecting me to call a completely different hand AARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG

Happen to me, disconnecting and waiting to long for log in. Make me hesitate to make deposit. Traffic not good either . Bad server or what ? I had no problem play other site.

I think on pokerstars the problem is that too many players are online at one moment lol
Also the problems on pokerstars take a lot more time to solve but on 888 or pkr you only get disconnect for a hand but it's enought to lose good money or chips

Do you think everyone suffers at the same time or they time it for certain people so that they bomb out of a tourney or is that just me being a conspiracy theorist?

it does not happen to all at the same time..you can be the only one in a tournament or specific period..anyway,,after mailing them ,,they said it happens due to my internet connection..
very strange,,,exctualy i bought that explanaition..but what i find more odd is ,,that when this occures i still have accces to the internet and other sites...so how is this due to my internet???
damn,, now i start to think about it ,it makes me very,very angry...
internet works ok..i can switch pages and log in and out at other sites...while i lose connection with pokerstars...
isn't this very strange???
i hope there is a computergenius mobber over here,, who can help us out and clearify things for us...
as i mentioned before ,,this has cost me serious money in the past...losing connection during a mega hand,,and i accepted te explanation of pokerstarssupport...
yachting poker ,has the same kind of software i guess ,cause the same happens also over there...
sometimes at the same time as pokerstars,,,and yes ,i have internetconnection and have acces to other internetsites...tested it..to see if it was all down..or just pokerclient..
hope u guys do not get tired on this issue,,please help us out if u can...
the last time it happened to me,,in a f**k up way,playing 6 tables...all MTTand sng..
2final tables and some deep runs...all at these 6 tables..i have left pokerstars for 2 months,, cause i did not trust them anymore...extualy fire was coming out my ears...it made me so angry and even more dissapointed...
good this was not the sunday million...can u imagine people going crazy,,losing it...when this happens at the bubble...in the sunday mill.??? when u get back on the client after 10-15 minutes.....yes it took me so long to get connected again...and u see u have only 1.5 BB left...instead of the 50-80 BB ,15 minutes ago..
No kidding this happened to me ...while i was in a hand,,pot commited..

I believe you perhaps have an account at PKR for a long time now, but do you think it’s possible that your PC isn’t prepared no more to take what is needed to play at pkr? Were you playing in only onw table or several? I have had similar problems with another room and everything else worked just fine, the poker software had to be the first thing I would run on my PC after I put it on, or else it would crash. I believe you are just facing pkr crashes, although the problem is identified by the program as a disconnection problem. The disconnection happens for any other reason that not the lack of internet in your pc, or else you wouldn’t be able to keep using other internet pages. Maybe pkr needs a minimum amount of space of your internet connection and, each time you are using other windows on the net and the internet dedicated more to those than to the game, the game crashes. Try to play it without using internet in anything else than the game.

think i should buy a new laptop mines too just probably to old fo this stuff. nomally i can play one or two at a time, 3 seems to always freeze out on me but thats ok for me id rather focus on one game at a time .

I do get these problems sometimes - it's ever since a major update quite a while back now. Not everyone is affected.. However, certainly a large amount of people are.
Best advise I have (mostly stopped it happening for me) is to set your computer to static IP address and then setup port forwarding in your router. Somewhere on the PKR web site they list all the ports the client uses.. I think there's some others not listed too, you may have to use something like 'netstat' once you're actually in game to see the ports open - and forward those too.
Once I setup all my port-forwards correctly, I pretty much don't get disconnected any more.
Also - try and only play when cabled to a router (don't use wi-fi)
