I've just started playing SNG's again, since I decided that my win rate at Zoom wasn't satisfactory. So anyways, I've noticed something that's really irritating me, and that's assholes that slow roll. I've had it happen 3 or 4 times tonight alone. 4-5 handed, I'll shove a good hand, it'll fold to someone who has me covered and they'll let almost their whole timer run down before they call. When they do call, they flip over aces. There's absolutely no reason why they shouldn't be snap calling, and it makes me so mad I want to punch a baby every single time it happens.
Seriously, I just don't get why people slow roll. I can understand if their internet just sucks, or their multi-tabling, but letting almost their entire timer run down on an automatic call just seems like they are doing it on purpose.
If I wasn't a firm believer in karma, I'd make notes on them and do it back to them the next time I'm at a table with them. The odd time I suck out, I make sure I laugh at them in chat. It may be rude, but frankly I don't give a f**k and they deserve to lose every time they pull this s**t.

Seriously, there is absolutely no reason to do this

I fail to see how "ego" has anything whatsoever to do with this thread.
If your ego wasnt bother you, you didnt make this thread, cos its so tiny i cant even bother.
------------ You get so mad, every time it happens you want to punch a baby.
Here it is, some major ego problems, you get so upset, so mad about oponents play rather then concentrate on your own play, for example concentrate on winrate, on multitabling, first close chat, play more tables, increase winning rate. If you keep playing like this with your big ego sooner or later it will happen, busto or loose concentration and pick other hobbys.

Btw i have no clue why a young baby must be punched cos somebody is slowplaying you
------------ On the other side, i see some major luv for the game, also dedication ect, you spent a lot of time playing poker, reading your other threads i see some kind of talent with lots of time. This all can become something bigger with more dedication and more concentration on the game and not on other things.
I can only repeat, skipp the ego and start playing.

Probably multi-tabling as Macubaas says or maybe if it's turbos using the clock to let the blinds raise on the smaller stacks. either way don't start punching babies for that m8... remember most of those babies have angry fathers with them which would have no prob punching u back lol

Well FWIW, I make posts like these because sometimes I need to vent after a bad session. In a way I guess it's therapy for me, since I can always come back to these threads later, when I'm less emotionally involved, and reflect on it. Be it how I played a hand, or whatever.
I never let my ego get in the way of how I play, as to me there's no place at the table for emotions. I do, however, get annoyed when morons pull s**t like this. Sure I also get annoyed when I make a good shove and some donkey calls with trash and sucks out for the 3rd consecutive time, but I'm also thankful for their bad calls, as it's what makes games profitable.
Oh and in parting, I'd never actually strike a baby, it's just one of my "sayings". I use it a lot, and I always lol when someone takes me seriously and gets offended. Like who would actually ever punch a baby, short of someone with deep uncontrollable anger.
I got the saying from one of Dane cooks stand up bits. Definately worth youtubing if you've never heard of him, probably the funniest standup comedian around, short of Dennis Leary and the late George Carlin

dont no why anyone would want to do that in a sit go people seem to do it a lot in touneys especially when you close to the bubble, i call them timebank rangers (and standard donks ace rangers lol) no faith in thei abilty to win and they dont plan on coming first. just trying to slow the table down and make it to the money.

Perhaps they do this to get the result of retribution wanted to punch a baby. Is that an expression or something or a personal "line" cause its one of the worst ive ever seen.

If there is someone else behind them and have you covered, then its plausible they are working out if it worth trying to drag in another player. You could be ss to thier x2 with a FS+ behind them. An instant call might scare off some, whilst looking like they are thinking might bring in another player to out play.
But the most plausible answer is they are trying to tilt you..I bet it works.

ALL players are given the exact same amount of time to act.Whether it's a MTT or a SNG or any ring game so it's not as if they are doing anything wrong.Personally,If I double up early in a MTT and am still afloat as we approach the bubble,I will ALWAYS use maximum time every action before I act.It increases the blinds on the shortest stacks & makes others more impatient. It's simply beautiful! Also it is very good to know that it is irritating to players(I was hoping that it was)lol

i know what you're saying,i hate people like that too,you know what you are going to do before it comes round to you unless someone goes all-in then maybe it takes 10 -15 secs to ponder but those people who let the clock run down then fold well i just don't understand them.

Not exactly a slowroll, but quite annoying:
I've noticed on PKR, for quite a while now, a LOT of people when they are going to fold, instead just let the timer run-out and as soon as they going into 'sit-out' they click 'I'm back' so they don't miss a turn.
They seem to do it most if you bust their bluffs - like they put in a raise and you re-raise, instead of clicking fold/call they just let the timer go until they end up in 'sit-out' mode.
They seem to do it whenever they get cranky about something - happens a bit too when you go for somebodies blinds.
