If you cant win at Micro Low Limit its 100% a patience problem.

Its true i will agree on this 1..

I have played higher limits in the past but now usually if i play poker play lower limits
Because i have played higher now i find myself wanting to go up fast and just play medium hands lets say ...bad

I just dont have the patience anymore like i use to when i played all day for weeks at a time on PS
Now if i deposit 50 for example i want to have 100 in an hour.
And with that in mind you can never play good BRM and i never do anymore...no patience for it

So again for me its a true statement

i believe winning in micros is a different thing than winning in mid-high stakes, the main difference is the public itself. there's even a saying "you can't bluff a bad player off the pot" and the problem is that there are lots of bad players at micro stakes, so you lose one gun in your arsenal: bluffing. next thing which is affecting you long term profit in micros is the style of play: generally in micros players tend to be over aggressive, going all in most of the time, so variance is an issue, but ultimately you have to adapt to those situations, and if you cant beat the micros, doubt whether you should go for higher stakes

I would say 90%. In order tto have the necessary patience at micro levels, you also need to know when to act and when to freeze, and that goes beyound patience. It’s the first skill level of a player, which, when very well trained and applied, will also be the first sign for the player, telling his conscience he’s now ready to move forward to the next level.

If poker was 100% patients then I would be very rich.

Play solid, establish a nice winrate, increase volume to capitalize from your winrate.

being patient is a way to sum up steady grinding, with a reasonable expectation. over expectations is a large problem with microstakes players.

lets do some math

i would consider a 3big bet per 100 a solid win rate, and you are beating the game. lets say you play1000 hands a day. an average day will only be winning 30 big bets or 60 big blinds. now if you are grinding .02 .05 nl you are only winning on average $3 for 1000 hands. not even a double up on your session.

another piece of advise is that not all of your sessions will be winning ones, especially at the micro stakes. its ok to book a loss. try not to let your session wins and losses dictate how you play, just put on a steady grind and be patient. then its just collecting your winrate from there.

everyone knows that you have to be on the winning side of LNP in order to win, poker is rigged, pfft.

I think i have to agree with it, on micro is a big mistake to bluff for example since many will pay your hand even with a bottom pair lol

So i actually think it's a patience matter to get good hands and play them by the book Smile

on micro level in poker the best is to wait and just play very good hands. if zhis doesn't bores you, you're on the good side. so good luck to all

true it patience...because in micro you have to be very patient to wait for good cards and bet them big coz you will be call by loose players and its not a guarantee you will win because suckouts are the next issue...next to patience is tilt control....

Maybe thats the key for holdem ting games which i rarely play.
But for omaha and especially omaha hi/low, i really doubt thats the key,
cause ive tried it numerous times Smile

Not true imo.

Plenty of people at the micros who are playing some idotic strategy that makes no sense, and can't work out why they are losing. They'd still lose even if they were the most patient people in the world.

Patience is important in ALL stakes. So is your all-round mental game. Patience doesn't cause you to win money. Not being patient might cause you to lose money though.

There's some truth for you all! I couldn't have said it any better myself. Patience is key, but so is your overall game, tilt control and bankroll management.

Once you have aquired a steady solid image at the table your playing at ,,bluffing is back in your arsenal of tricks ,also at the micro's

patience and discipline are very important indeed, i myself have many plans ,but keep finding myself doing opposite of what i had planned during many sessions...

some good players play only 1 or 2 diff. tournament types..and try making money only on those on long term..(easy to analyse).

a way to play which i aprove, but again find myself playing as much tournaments as possible all the time..

probably one of my mayor mistakes..

This is the kind of post where i kind a give myself advise on what and how to do better.. Agree

for the ones who read my threads: My bankroll at stars is back to zero again...lost em all
playing heads-up 7$ and 15$ games...

Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!
