Given that PS has announced full balances will be available for immediate withdrawal.. I'm curious to see how many people that bought FTP money / accounts at discount prices get fucked over..
As things got increasingly bleak I saw FTP money being sold for as little as $0.10 on the $1.00, I wonder if these people that sold their balances so low will honour the deal now that the full balances are available.
I also wonder, is anyone out there still willing to sell their FTP money at a discount rate - give that it might be another 90 days before balances are available, which still allows time for something to go wrong, I wonder if people would still sell for 90c or even 80c ?? I'd be keen on buying $1,000 or so for 80c/$1

Yeah, I saw a lot of those threads too. I would imagine at least a few of the people will likely roll on the deals they made, it's just human nature to be greedy I guess. Couple that with the fact that Poker is kinda synonymous with conning other people out of money.
I'll sell ya my balance on FT for 80c on the dollar, as long as I can send ya the user/pass after it comes back online

I think you will not find those type of deals no more at the net, now that it’s announced that PS will pay FT balances. And, for those who did those deals, it’s better for those who bought it that they have signed papers with the agreement, or else they can be losing on two sides, if they already paid for that. This looks like the future news after PS pays FT balances.

I was thinking the same. I guess lots of people will be happy to sell still, DoJ will pay USA, FTP will first deal with those who can play the site, the rest..well, I bet that will be a horrid wait unless a transfer to PS is made an option. So for those that FTP will not open to and already have accounts there, they may as well sell.

Well back before this mess, withdraws from FT were always kinda slow, especially towards the "end". Guess that was because they didn't have money to process withdraws with lol.
PS has always been pretty quick with withdraws, so I'd imagine that for non-us players, it shouldn't be TOO bad. Of course there should be expected delays, but nothing too bad.
My guess is, that since PS bought FT and plans on continuing to run it, there shouldn't be too many players wanting to withdraw, short of the players who can't play there. I'd imagine that with FT back, players will just start playing there again instead of withdrawing.
You have to imagine that there should probably be some pretty big incentives to keep playing as opposed to withdrawing, as PS will want to do everything they can to keep as much money on the site as possible.

The US will have a nightmare IMO, they will have to apply to the DoJ for it, they also(i think) meant to pay tax on winnings, might be a problem if you have not been declaring. And anyone buying accounts from US players might have to write of the money they bought.

never saw this kind of offer, but that's only because i hang only on brm, and since i didn't see any similar offers here, i didn't hear they existed- hmm $1 for $0.10, i think this was an interesting offer, just wonder what kind of figures they were talking about- probably something small (up to1K)...not sure i would have accepted this one...

Can't say I seen any offers myself, but I suppose someone having $10,000 on their BR that was pure profit may not mind getting a $1000.00 for their $10. I'm not sure how that would work anyway without some type of notorized documentation since no one had access to their money. It almost seems like an unsecure investment at least until now, but I still don't understand how anyone could guarantee that type of buyout without anything beingnegotiated, but I don't know a lot about the subject at matter.
It was good profit if you bought some with a 90percent discount...only if you buy from a us player..it will take a long process...is still anyone selling now that its just 90 days and FTP will be back in business

There will be many players withdrawing the money. And if not at least a big portion of it. The offers must be even better than they ones they had before the incident to keep them there.
Since though its PS that will operate the room as everything shows the number of those players withdrawing all their money and leaving the platform i believe would be less than if GBT had taken the site.
