Documentary on Ultimate Bet Cheating Scandal in the Pipeline

The cheating scandal on Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker between 2004 and 2008 is, according to many, the biggest cheating scandal ever in the online gaming industry. It seems very interesting. They went to talk with a lot of people involved, mostly those who have suffered with the case, because the others, directly involved in the scam with guilt on it, probably refused to talk about it. This type of documentaries is always good, because it helps opening the mind of those who use this softwares but it can bring serious injuries to the online poker industry. People will start geting affraid of investing and they will tend to concentrate on those who everybody trust, including some governments. So this brings another question: can documentaries like this be created with the intention of induct people to concentrate on the governmentaly friendly companies?

yeah poker is rigged- or this way- poker software is rigged Big Smile told you...no really in online world you cannot believe anyone, hey why would you want do even in real world...so the safest route if you want to take on bigger limits is starting small and building up you roll, this way if you end up being cheated you will only lose your initial small roll

It just shows how much greed there really is in people. I mean there has to be plenty of money being pulled in when things are ran legitimately, but when the greed kicks in the need overcomes morals and values then in a lot of cases one ends up with nothing, but fines / jail.

really makes me mad when these sites have to cheat the ordinary people,i mean don't they make enough as it is???
stupid question as obviously they don't.

Is there any chance this program would be shown on webpage? I think rare possibility to be bought and transfered and broadcasted such video like this in my country where there aren't enough poker players.

That may be true but you invested a lot of time and energy to built a decent bankroll only to be cheated out of it all after that....who wants that ???

What about the emotional aspects of trusting some site with your money only to hear after that you never was able to win in the first place...you feel mad and gutted

Online gambling is hard to trust and scandals like this only make it harder.

Should be fun, followed by lots of law-suits.

This greed it way above my understanding, i mean why to risk everything for some more money when you already had a good revenue from the legit buisness...

All what can i hope for is that these people will get what they deserve.

Good to have someone delve into this.

UB and big companies get away with murder.

something tells me they will only get so far - no one from UB is gonna wnat to get involved.

Sickening that Hellmuth still represents them.

your always going to get some smartarse who hacks better than the original programmer writes and will always be wondering" did that just happen ? how could you call that, with that s**t ?" when someone else can either see your cards or the forthcoming cards your on a loser, no one forces anyone to play online poker but lots of us do, some better than others. live games have a different game theory as you cant use tracker software etc. just glad i didnt play on ub, but fortunatley as a fun player it wouldnt have affected me, shame an awful lot of honest online pro's lost huge amounts of money.
surely if a fraud can be proven then a judgement can be made. the site is still operational after all

I'm not sure who got done for it.

But yeah retroactive justice should be possible I'd imagine.

Not entirely sure who or how it would happen though.
