100% shoving every single time with that stack size and hand. Unlucky he re-sucked, but to be fair he was miles ahead when you got it in.
Have you studied SAGE at all? It's pretty much an unexploitable heads-up "system". It may not be optimal play against a thinking player, but it's pretty much air-tight and does a good job of negating any skill edge your opponent may have over you heads up.

You were hit by a truck. It was a runner runner and you even got ahead when you got that Ace on the turn, but table didn’t stop at that point and decided to move things upside down and brought a 10 to the victoy of your opponent. At 400/800, and you weren’t even the BB at this hand, i think you could have waited a bit longer, but the way you puti t, with him taking all the others before with no reason, i understand that you had all the will to give that Ace the opportunity to revenge on his robs. Unfortunately, it went wrong.

Looks like you both made solid calls and you ended up on the losing end. You did nothing wrong. Its always patiene and bottle and a dash of luck at this stage of the game so dont be downhearted and smash him next time./

Would like to hear / learn a bit more about this SAGE. There are still a lot or poker terminology that I'm still growing familiar with, but never even heard this term until now. Guess I'm with Jack on this and need to do some reading, but would be nice to see or read someone's own definition of the term. And, how it can work for someone in HU.
Actually i had a great time in this hand thats whay i posted it... was never upset because i understand that its a standard shove and call. Suck out over suck out, the feeling when your the one who suck out the turn and your opponent suck out on the river....it was like pre flop loss, turn win, river loss again...lol you know the feeling?after i was happy that even though i loss that hand even i was very behind. the chance of winning was still there...

The SAGE system’s benefit is simplicity. There are 2 key factors, both of which are very easy to work out – then a simple chart for deciding on your action. The keys factors are ‘PI’ which stands for the ‘Power Index’ of your current cards and ‘R’ which is the ratio of the smallest stack to the big blind. For each ‘R’ there are then numbers given for the SB to push all in and the BB to call based on PI. Working out PI is done like this: Each card is given a ‘power number’ based on its rank. Ace= 15 / King = 13 / Queen = 12 / Jack = 11 and the others at face value. To get the PI of your hand take the highest card’s power number, double it – then add the number of the smaller card. For example – Queen-Eight would be (12*2)+8 = 30. For suited cards you add 2 points to the total and for pairs you add 22 points. So the highest PI is for Ace-Ace (15*2) + (15+22) = 67 and the lowest PI is for 3-2 off-suit (3*2) +2 = 8. So, based on the value of ‘R’ here is a list of what PI you can push and call with.
So in a nutshell, it's a shove/fold system tailored for heads up play. While it CAN be used in strictly heads up matches, it's more useful in heads up play of 6 or 9 max tournaments since HU matches usually start with deeper stacks as opposed to your stack sizes when you're down to the final 2 of a 9 or 6man. While it's not fully optima in a mathematical aspect due to polarized ranges and showdown hand strength, it fully negates any skill edge your opponent may have over you.
It does require some thinking, as you have to adapt to how loose/tight your opponent is, but by utilizing it, you're effectively putting all the pressure on your opponent to have to adjust to what you're doing, or make a big mistake by calling too light or too tight.
The reality is, if you're playing 9mans and get down to heads up, you're usually shove/fold anyways, unless your lucky enough to get HU early enough that stacks are still somewhat deep. I think the system loses a lot of it's value with deeper stacks since the blinds you pick up when they fold is of far less value than if stacks are shorter.

This system is great in heads up. I tried yesterday and it works great...specially of your opponent is taking away your chips heads up then is the system you will need...very simple approach shove and fold only....
