A big congratulations to Anthony Gregg on winnings World Poker Tour Parx Open Poker Classic. Gregg outlasted a field of 500 players that included many big names in the poker world. In the final hand Gregg limped for 250,000 and Stephen Reynolds moved all in for about 3.4 million. Gregg made the call with K[h]9[d] and Reynolds showed A[d]4[h] and needed to hold to stay alive. The bo[...]   Read more » Anthony Gregg Wins WPT Parx Open Poker Classic ($416,127)

Dam.

One nice payday.

Anyone know the entry fee?

Interesting Phelps is a friend, I hear Phelps is very keen on poker, i think competitive pros are naturally drawn to it.

for me it's always sad to see the payout structure of these tourneys- guy in 6th place earns around 60K, and guy in first earns over 400K, both outplayed over 490 players...i guess it's not a very good feeling finishing in 6th hey? of course when you win, this matter doesn't bother you at all. nice payday

Anthony Gregg was chipleading the World Poker Tour Parx Open Poker Classic in three out of the five days and then he entered the final heads-up in a 2-1 disadvantage. I don’t know how many chips did he had when he played that last hand. Although being ahead and being K9 a nice hand that almost everyone likes to bet on when playing HU, i guess he must have sweat a bit when he saw his oponentes Ace. That fear didn’t last too long, as the first cards of the flop already put him winning, and then was just waiting til the river with no ace on the table. $400k, so nice!

Yeah i agree pochui.

I really dislike the huge difference between positions like that, seems very unfair.

Is the 1st place winner $350,000 more worthy than 6th?
