I dont like the call with 10-10 regardless what the villain has. especially in rush. in this situation it turns out you were playing against a donk but against any competent player the best case scenario is hands like a-k a-q and often times you will be running into QQ+ which has you crushed.
yes the outcome of this hand seems fairly unlucky but i think there are leaks in your game too.

I have to agree. Don't know if it was Zoom you were playing on, like I have lately, but WinAllDay is right. 10-10 is a crushed hand 9 out of 10. And anyways, I enver got the point of going all-in in a Cash game with 10-10. You work 2 hours building up your stack, only to lose it in one "gamble"....? Seen it enough, but don't get it.

since the question was "bad luck or what?" i must say that in this case it was a simple situation- villain had 13-17% chance of winning against you, and guess what this number is only good in long term, so he got his 1-2 times in 10 in this particular situation so what, can we call it luck? no because he had chances, if you would play the same hand 100 times and end up on the losing side that yes i would say it's bad luck...

herman, please ignore remco, he's the village idiot and pet troll all rolled into one.
@remco Yeah you're right, the chances of a better boat hitting are slim and that's why people post when it happens. Unsurprisingly they don't bother to post every time their boat holds up.

Not to gang up taking sides, but one thing if this Zoom is simular to the RUSH poker I used to play at FT most everyone is staying with their best hands which are AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ and watchout for smaller pairs since there is a chopice of what hand you want to play. The players that win these type of games are generally playing only the best starting hands or moving on to the next. At least that what I used to see playing the Rush.
Not one to give advice as to what's right or wrong, but used to spend a lot of time on the Rush. lol

I mean cmon pre flop all in with 96 and then that river.....CMON!! Very veryy veryyy small chance he hits a better boat against the 1010
Well it can happen obviously in theory and thats all people say on here..
BTW i am curious what the stack sizes where though..
Will you EVER give up with these useless rants? Never proved a point, except that you are lacking the "tools" to make ANY valid point at all. Why don't you just try posting like a regular person? You will be respected all the more for it.

Oh really? It's actually around ~5% (he has two outs on the river) - so roughly one in twenty times the 9-6 hand wins. The way you describe it it's like he won the lottery. 1 in 20 - that's why he posted the hand - because it was unlucky and unusual.
You're so daft.
And to OP: I agree with the other posters: you were pretty unlucky, but very bad call with the 10s anyway. Also - it wasn't really a true bad beat - since all the chips went in pre-flop you lost as about ~80% fav which is unlucky, but gonna happen 1 in 5 times (unless you're remco then it happens 5 in 5 times because the universe hates you).
I played some rush in FT before and usually hands that are played are usually very strong which 1010 is considered a baby specially in all-in pre flop...if its all-in pre usually its KK or AA...anyway since you call the shove and you were way ahead pre flop does not mean that your the winner.....but your opponent was very lucky there...have experience that also but usually in cash games... AA are beaten also...this morning my AA vs Q8s loss he hit 2pair.its all in pre flop...

As stated above, I would not call an AllIn here with 1010, especially not in Zoom, where people tend to play much tighter with the strongest hands and where it is hard to get raesonable reads on opponents. For sure you got unlucky against this opponent, but you could have avoided this loss.

I agree with you guys... The pair of Tens aren't good cards... it's pretty bad in play against donks, because sometimes they're lucky. And it's pretty bad against good players, because in all-ins they play with STRONG cards.

Sure I agree it's not a good idea to go all in with 10-10. Even a raise of 4 BB woulf only be acceptable in late position. Personnally i prefer just to call with pocket J or lower in early or middle position and even in late position and hope to make a trsi on the flop. This gives you a a big hand after the flop if you hit and if you have no hit just check/fold.
another example : i played omaha
had Ah - 6c and 2 other cards i don t remember and called before the flop
on the flop :
6h 6d 5h
i pot raised and my opponent called.
on the turn another 6
so i pot raised again with the carre and he called again
on the river an 8h
he went all in and i called as it was only 20% of the pot i had to add
he had 7h- 9h --> straight flush , lucky river hit but what i do not get is tha\t my opponent call after the flop a potraise with just 7-9 of hearts for a flushdraw in omaha
but in poker you have to learn to deal with "bad"or crazy beats
