Took first place in the qualifier for the main event, couldn't be happier right now. Really want to see Italy and other parts of europe. Crazy tournament it was 22 euro buyin (52 of those), 188 rebuys, and 25 addons. I never re-bought just the add-on and took 1st. My internet kept disconnecting every 5 minutes, so this was the most nerve wracking poker experience ever! Im glad its done, the only thing is I only get 700 euro for travel expenses which includes hotel, flight, food, booze, so I'll have to invest about a grand of my own money but its definitely worth it, the package is worth 6k euro. Anyone else playing the sattelites ?

For travelling in europe there are several low budget aircompanies in Europe. They mostly use smaller (cheaper) air-ports. So you have to look for a "cheap"ticket from Canada to Europe and than look for a very cheap ticket from there to San Remo.
eg if you can find a ticket to Belgium : Canada - Brussels , than you can look for a cheap ticket with Ryan air fom Brussels south to Italy (Genoa) (single about 40 euro, if your lucky even less)
A transfer from Brussels airport to Brussels south (Charleroi) can be done by train or bus and is about 50 km
Spend some time for finding a cheaper way to travel.

Holy s**t that is awesome !
" so I'll have to invest about a grand of my own money" this is part of the reason I never play satellites for live events - air fares from Australia to Europe or USA are really fucking expensive and kinda destroys the value of the packages, especially the ones worth around 4-6k, probably not so bad if it was a 12k package or something, like WSOP ME + expenses.
Anyway - that's so fucking cool- hope you cash - but you're gonna have a blast anyway.

Very nice win, and besides the fact that you need some extra money you will have a great time for sure. I hope you can cash in too, and spent some more days there relaxing I wish you a final table position gl
