Today Sweden's biggest newspaper Aftonbladet wrote that some of Sweden's most well-known poker players have fallen victim to blackmailing and robbery. For example: one of the players was forced to hand over 224,000 sek (about 27,000 Euro) in cash at Casino Cosmopol in Gothenburg, Sweden, after being threatened with a gun to his head in his own home. yeah lol at blackmail...that's extortion with violent force.

fucked up - suprised something like this hasn't happened before. everyone know poker players are mega wealthy.

it's like when footballers homes started getting raided - they knew they weren't at home cos they were in an away match in Europe lol

aye it's not blackmail if someones got a gun pointing at your head,thats extotion or something,the guy who done it should be locked up for a long time.

this is hold up....this guy has lost lot of money poker and since he cannot win on the tables..this is his way of getting his money back from winning players...put a gun to their head....in that way, no more suck outs and bad beat will happen....only sure money... Cool

Yep. He can't beat the players, so he tries to beat the Law. Smile
Maybe he can "hone" his skills in the slammer, he'll have lots of time for that.
Unfortunately those skills will probably involve setting up better robberies. Big Smile

Scum bag...they wouldnt do crap like that in NZ cant run far too small a place. There is a spate of thefts regarding sports people while they are at a there sports games. Again low lifes who are too dumb and lazy too work.
