Well, although I did say I would rather risk my life than lose everything, in truth I suspect I would risk very little, in part because I'm a pessimist and wouldn't trust my luck but also cos I'm not a big risk taker and I'm very cautious in most of my decisions.
I don't actually have that much to lose atm. But I would still rule out the possibility of being homeless, going to prison or being forced to declare myself bankrupt. Also, I have no desire to be really really rich so I guess it would come down to what desire I would be thinking about.
If it really was my most wanted desire, I guess I would risk everything I have except enough to get by for a month or two, which right now translates as nothing.

not really.. I mean, it is maybe for a little while, but you can certainly recover from it.. Especially if you're talking about a western country.. Might be a bit different if you hit rock bottom in Sudan or something.

Hitting rock bottom is kind of worse than death.
Then there is only one way. And the only the person death does not inflict on is yourself, other than being dead, many people would be affected by this, I never wish to gamble with other peoples feeling, they are not mine to be played with.
