Has anyone given this a whirl??
I'm really tempted.
NL gets kinda boring and I used to play rummy when I was a kid. Next time I have spare time to sit down and play I'll have a shot and report back if there's anyone else who's undecided on it.

I started by playing straight up Rummy. And started to lose...couldn't seem to win a hand, this guy kept winning.
Then I got the hang of it, the software was more of an annoyance to start but is really easy to use.
So after 33 games (they play like ring games, with up to 4 per table) and winner takes all) I was down to like $7.00 from an initial deposit of $15.78.
Then in the last 9 games I won 7 times including 3 in a row...and got back to my starting balance.
Good fun. There's also variations, like gin rummy, tournament, kalooki etc and even Canasta which is awesome.
Don't want to come across like some spokesman for the site but if you enjoy poker (which I assume you do) this is well worth having a stab at even if just for fun and the $5 deposit bonus.

not sure this is true- i enjoy poker, but when i had ago at rummy (it was some time ago) i really got pissed with it a lot- i tried to read the rules- it seemed that i understood them, but when i tried to play- everything seemed to awkward: the software, the game itself, the losing of course- even if it was a no deposit bonus- i didn't enjoy it at all good luck on your rummy
had an account there 4-5 maybe even 6 yrs ago. Got the NDB but didn't use it cause I culdn't figure out the software, went back a year or so later and the NDB was gone...they took it back...no biggie. Used to play Gin rummy in my teens for cash...a buck a point spread. Made some good money back then. Played some 500 as well. Gin is easy...ten cards in ur hand, make suited runs, three and four of a kind, and the eleventh card is the discard when you gin. Game goes to 121. First to hit 121 loses. When one gin's the left over cards are counted against, Aces are 11 pts can be used high or low in a suited run, faces and 10's are 10 pts, and 9-2 are face value. The discarded cards are placed neatly in the discard pile so one can't see the cards that went by. Need your memory for that and one can only draw the top card in the discard pile. If you miss a card ur SOL. If I beat u 121 -20, u owe me $101. We played 3 games. Don't like 500 as much as Gin. haven't played either in years.
There are a couple more subtleties to the game...won't get into that here.

If i was a sentimental guy, tears would be falling down from my face at the time i would be Reading this. Today’s the 4th of September, i would enjoy some RummyRoyal action after returning from my (deserved) vacations, but this event was yesterday. Nevermind, i will wait for next week
