Grats to you, very nice winning. Well done indeed. What kind of tourney was this ? I am still trying to cash big in a tourney one day, but I guess I have to improve my tourney play, especially in mid to late game.

It was a 5$ rebuy. I did well from my initial buy-in but I was unlucky just before the break so I also got an add-on. It's not really the type of tourney I should be playing tbh with what was a 200$ bankroll but I just get sick of playing the 1.20 buy-ins where even if you come first you only win 30/40 dollars for six hours of play. The 5-10 dollar tourneys just look so more appetizing with their large gtd pots. And this isn't my first cash although it is by far the biggest.
Did it hurt not to win? Not really actually. Yes, there was a while where I was in first position imagining having first place money but I would have been happy with a top 10 and very nearly had to settle for it. Luckily I got JJ at just the right time and they thankfully held. With big tournaments like this there's obviously a lot of luck involved and you can only try and play your best and hope luck is on your side. I'm pleased with the way I played overall but I don't think I deserved first place so I'm not holding any grudges.

Gratz for this nice winning! The rebuy-touneys are a verry good way to win a big pot. One time you can see maniacs going allin with any hand in the first hour and so the winning pot growth verry fast.

Thats a nice win indeed and worth the sharing. If you can do a couple of those in a period of a month that would be great. But no matter what thats a very good boost for your bankroll

Not sure exactly how many players there were but I just looked at the same tournament today and it started with 929 players and the prize-pool is $13 590 so it must have been around that.
I like bwin a lot. I don't have much choice as I play on a mac but aside from connectivity problems now and again I have no faults with bwin and I probably would choose to play there over more popular clients. I can't really say much about the competition but I find it quite easy to profit, that may just be for my style of playing though. Recently I suffered a downswing due to a lot of bad beats and lucky callers but I wouldn't say it was typical donk bingo.
There aren't many promotions on bwin but there are good freerolls and even the daily freerolls are good value (5000 players per $1000) compared with other sites. I have in fact rebuilt a bankroll from freeroll winnings after I withdrew and lost the remainder. And if I remember rightly the withdrawal and deposit processes are very quick. I will of course be making a nice withdrawal soon.

$2.3k in a satellite to the WSOP. One player got the ticket and I finished second losing when my AQ flopped two pair. he shoved with AK and he hit a K on the river..

great one glad to see brm'ers do well at the tables. awesome win- hope you will build on this. now your bankroll is much healthier than before from the fact that you mentioned withdrawal i think you will not up the stakes and try to build your roll even higher- but hey you've done fantastically already

You still mostly playing on PKR? Pretty hard to win 4 figures there now, not many games even have a 1st place over $1k now. And almost none of the games pay 4 figures for a 2nd anymore.
