Who of the following would you rather play live poker with for serious money?
A pro poker player - Someone who will most likely beat you honestly and fairly A known cheat - Someone who had previously been caught cheating but who doesn't necessarily have the means or motive to cheat again A card fixer - Someone who definitely has the ability to deal himself aces but who had never been caught cheating A mobster - A real life gangster who you don't want to cross (and I'm not taking about Tony) or A robot - A robot programmed to play poker making perfectly accurate maths-based decisions

I vote the pro, because it would be an absolute HONOUR to sit with one of the greats. I'd either pick Hellmuth, so I can beak him and try and tilt him, or else negraneau.
Nevermind, I choose vanessa rousso for obvious reasons Maybe she'd be willing to play strip poker, in which case I wouldn't mind losing

Posted by mcedger: the pro, because you only get better by playing better opponents
I was going to say that in my post as well, but got carried away thinking about how hot vanessa is and forgot to add it. I think you'd learn more in 1 session playing a pro, than you would playing 1000 hours at the micros

I would like to choose PRO or ROBOT...
PRO - especially CUTE woman player - Vanessa Rousso, Liv Boeree, Tatjana Passalic - retribution said why Or great player. I would like to play with talented player...
ROBOT - ("robot programmed to play poker making perfectly accurate maths-based decisions" ) because it will be easy win... I would bluff and it will fold Cause math-based decisions are good for good hand, but don't good with bluffs

if you want to make money- surely bot, just make irrational decisions on purpose and you can outplay him, pro is another option- because pro's are judged on the long term results, therefore you do stand a chance of winning against him in one session. others are useless- you will be either feeling pain in the wallet or in your head or even both

Following those descriptions, it seems that the robot would be the easiest oponent because all the others would have side characteristics that would have impact on the game. Otherwise, i would go for the mobster, not counting the part in which he would shoot me if i won the game!

I with most of the Mobsters here in the forum and that is to play against a professional player would not only be an opportunity to learn something , but a feeling of gratitude knowing (if you played well) what their advice would be. I mean it'd be great to think that you could stand with the pro and actually gain confidence in yourself to get involved for higher stake games.
