poker maximus 2 started last night and i played in the first tourney,i had been playing $1.10 satellites where the top 10 got an $11 ticket and i won a few so i used one of my tickets. there were 2334 starters and i finished in 220th for $15. i am well happy with that as i played in a couple the last time maximus was on and the best i finished was about 400,so as i said happy with that. The last hand was a bit of a bummer though, i was in 252 with about 21,000 chips, i'm in the sb with qq when the short stack at the table with 14,000 ships them it folds round to me so i go all-in as well then the bloody bb who was also the table leader in chips calls and so we turn our cards, the short stack has 22 i've got qq and the bb has a-j suited spades, the flop comes 10,9 4 rainbow not too bad the turn 7 thats ok ,then the river a bloody 8, i can't believe he rivered a straight ,i know these things happen but it's still crap to go out like that, but hey ho i still got $15 so not too bad. oh,and if i'd have won the pot i'd have been in the top 70 oh well i can only dream might try another tionight

First of all Grats to you for making it in the money. Because you qualifeid through at Sat, its its a nice ROI. I would also like to play some of them, but I am afraid they start too late for me. Maybe I will have a chance on the weekend.

Gratz for your winning! At which site is poker maximus? I never heard about that tourney, it seems this was a lucrative tourney with a nice payout structure. I like torneys with less than x-thousand players. There are more chances to win some bucks.

Good job for a starter. MTTs hold the promise of big money - almost everyone has seen players on television win millions in one of these big events. Who doesn't dream of having a really big win? You can win 200 or 300 times the amount you invested with just a small buy-in. Next time try to climb higher,to final table

a win is a win- no matter how small or huge it is- still very nice to experience one- good going teddybears, considering that you qualified through satellite the win itself wasn't small at all, always nice to hear someone from brm forum doing well- good luck with your further tournaments
