partypoker are scumbags!! i won a WPT tourney token and went to bed 4 1/2 hours 3500 peeps and finished 3rd..today i went to play my game and boom it was gone..i contacted cust service and they said i was automatically registered for the 1st game 1st thing this morning and its common knowledge and that i should have known this.
now last night i looked in my account and couldnt find ticket.so i contacted them and the advisor says yea i can see your ticket and told me times i could register, not once did he tell me that i was automatically registered...i explained all this to todays advisor and he basically just says its your own fault and under no circumstances are we gonna give you another ticket, and basically told me to f**k off!!
scumbag draconian company!!!

Out of curiosity, in the tournament lobby does it say you'll be automatically registered for the next game?
PKR does this with some satellites too and there's every now and again somebody jumps on the forum to complain about losing their ticket, because they didn't realise.
If it's clearly written in the tournament info/lobby then I think you need to accept the blame yourself, but if there's no mention of it and it's not standard for Party satellites (I'm not familiar with them) then that seems a bit harsh.

no it justs states that you get a ticket into the tournament.doesnt mention anything about being auto registered. and the advisor i was onto last night knew i didnt know and he told me what time 1st 1 started at and i told him thats no good as im in work and he said to register for a later one..
i explained all of that but the other advisor didnt want to know

It seems harsh that the first support didn't tell you to deregister and since you didn't play the tourney at all it's clear you didn't know. But I think you have to take some of the blame. Satellites normally specify the tournament they qualify for and they usually put a link in the lobby to that tournament. I would always check before playing a satellite that I can play the next round. When you weren't credited the ticket I would have thought your first thought would be to check the tournament even before contacting customer services.
I know it sucks man. I hope it wasn't worth a lot. It would have been nice if the person you spoke to you was more understanding but I guess they can't give out free tickets to everyone who misses a tournament.
This happened to me a lot, and I agree, it sucks beyond the telling of it.
Only recently I found myself registered for a tournament that started within 10 minutes from finishing the qualifier. It was early morning, and had to play it, since you can only unregister until 15 minutes before the start. Support sympathizes, and will confirm that you did not have an opportunity to unregister, but they can't refund the ticket (I did not even ask). It's not possible to disable the auto-registration for individual users, so you'll have to live with it.
Also, sometimes when you've won a ticket, and are careful to look whether you've been registered or not, they still get you, when registration for the next tournament has not started yet. Only when the registration period starts they will auto-register you.
So, anytime you win a ticket, find the first tournament you can use it with, and unregister as soon as possible. That is what I do. Then I try to win that same ticket multiple times, to get tournament dollars.
One disadvantage, is that I keep forgetting which ones I've won, and don't use the ticket before it expires, when the main event starts (for WPT qualifiers)...

Same thing happened to me ,got a ticket trough a freeroll and went to bed.Next morning when I look to register for the first qualifier I found that I played in my sleep a tournament.Anyway was a 1$ ticket,and a re-buy tournament(not my favorit type).I learned my lesson and after each ticket I unregister from the first tourmanent they put me automatically and play at my convenience. Theese Party is really crap since 1 yaer ago,lot of errors and crap tables.Move on

Ive been on that situation before and i got realy angry with it. There was no where a note saying that the ticket will be auto registered in the next available tourney. Its like you wasyed your time and effort for nothing. It has happened to me twice so far.
This has happened to me before a year or 2 ago. After that I have always Checked the next available tournament to make sure I'm not register till I'm able to play the next tournament

hi everyone. it is very frustrating that this has happened, but firstly i know to check tourneys to see if ive been registered and to unregister, i seen that no ticket was showing up which is why i contacted the support in the first place, also i couldnt find any of the tourneys.
the advisor told me what time the 1st one started at.and when i checked them all they were all showing as announced which means no one was registered. so i assumed my ticket was still on my account somewhere,but it must have auto registered when they started.
the 2nd advisor sent me T&C's and said to read them...(to me all companys do this when they know they are in the wrong) it states that to stop auto registering you need to unregister the 1st time then it will never happen again..then also had the cheek to say it was common knowledge!
they are definetly 1 of the shittest companys around,and cant admit that it was their fault...i signed up to play poker not sit and read 300 pages of b******t T&Cs

They have us all by the balls so make sure you check the terms and conditions of enytry into any given tourney, cos lots of them dictate when you will be entered to the target tourney as a result of winning.

Happened to me also in the past. Nowadays, if I win a ticket on Party Poker I always click on my tourneys and then deregister from this automatic registzered next tourney. After this I choose the one i would like to play.

It's happened to me ones before so I looked it up more closely and apparently all the WPT/WSOP/Other main event freeroll ticket you win will automatically be registered. However, all other tickets as the 50 Seat Frenzy or the Season Million Special will NOT be registered automatically.

It seems like everyone is doing this. It makes me wonder why Party Poker implemented this auto-registration scheme...
Everybody seems to hate it, and I'm sure their support gets lots of questions and abuse about it, and yet PP themselves don't benefit in any way from it, as far as I can see. I don't think it's an issue of them being "scumbags". More likely it's an issue of poor software design.
The software is infamously unclear about which tickets you have, and what they can be used for (the target tournament link in the lobby is not always shown, and the "Transaction history" page is simply terrible, and until recently not working at all). Maybe they tried to remedy this by auto-registering, unknowingly creating a bigger issue than the one they are trying to solve...

I dont know how it works in party butr its very usual in pokerstars that when you win a ticket for some tournment (satelite) you get automatically inscrit in the tournment!! First5 thing you should do before wnhet to sleep was to enter in the lobby tournment to see if you werre already inscrit! I dont blame you but without knpowing the site rules i cant blame them either!

NO NO NO NO if you play for a seat in the next sattelite and then you say oh but I didnt understand because well u say it was late thats the first thing u said why, but ffs how can any one say that they didnt know the outcome of a steps/level and what happens in the next tournament is beyond belief, do you wear a nappy because ur crying like u need one, ffs if you cant be bothered to read all info and if ur not sure research further on site off which there are many was to do this then dont play any further steps,level tournaments in fact f off and stop writing this drivel, on oh they didnt or couldnt or wouldnt tell me the score just go away u useless p o s

aye that's happened to me before,you play a couple of hours and win a ticket then you go to bed and the next day when you log in you've been auto registered in some tourney. bad s**t,but you have to read the rules.

If the first guy who you contacted could see your ticket, he should have told you where it was, your nick should already appear at one of the event's list at that hour. But, by what you wrote, he told you could register at several times, he didn't told you were already registered. That usually doesn't happen that way. I advice you to contact support b email trying to give knowloedge of what happened to someone else higher than those you chat with you. He can end up telling the fault was your in the same, but the first support guy did a bad service.

again no no no just make sure that your are aware of the rules for the next tourni, why rely on a costumer service that will mainly be of no use or be unable to tell you what to do, do not rely on any one other than your self to know the way it is going to work, it is the onl;y way to get the any information to the full has to how it works do not waste ur time with bad costomer reps DO IT ALL YOURSELF IN FUTURE, it is the only way forward for you and any body else who p[lays sattalite steps/levels
