Well it feels like I have been doomed forever on pokerstars for the last week I have played over 40 games, and haven't cashed in a single tourney or sit and go almost every game I'll start out running perfect making straights and flushes everything then after 15-30 mins of game play its a complete change I can't hit nothing playing tight people tend to call me on my bets I hit top pair I gets called To the river and it always seems someone runner runners a straight or a flush and when I get pocket kings or pocket aces I get called and someone always hits 2 pair or better, like my kings getting called preflop from 10-2 and flop come 4-10-10 stuff like this has been happening for the pass week I almost feel like I shouldnt be playing on pokerstars because any other site I play I have never ran so bad. What should I do?
------------ Here's a few hands I remember playing, one I get a-q I bet 3 x binds and get a caller Flop comes a-k-5 I bet and get reraised I call turn comes 3 and then the guys pushes all in At this time I only have 400 chips and about 2k-2.5k in pot so I call he has a-3 and thenthe river Still gives another 3, another hand I had k-k the pot gets a 3x raise before it comes to me reflop So I 3x the raise he calls flop comes a-k-4 he pushes all in I call with a set he has a-q then the other 2 aces come, another I get pocket aces and get pushed reflow by k-q and flop come k-k-q These are just a couple of hands I have had, just seems any opponent that calls me always hits

I´ve played since five years at stars and had never an upswing. Only a lot of suckouts, never a good run. But other rooms are not really better. Without the rivercard i had won a lot at stars...

If it wasnt the river card all of us would make thousands Its that darn river card that ruins you most of the times. And im not talking about Poker Stars, havent ever played there, in talking in general.
I would say that the majority of hands i lose are from river.
Maybe they should make a poker game that ends on the turn, but then we will complain about it lol

I know this may not be what you want to hear, but I went through a streak that was very similar to what your expressing and it makes you think, "what am I doing wrong?". I don't have that answer, but know I was playing patiently and got to the point where I wasn't playing any risky hands. After about 5 straight days of this crazy poop I just didn't play for 2 days. I even dwelled on wanting to get back on and play , but didn't. After taking my little break it still took 5 or 6 games at the micro level before I placed in the money. Things went slow for about a wek then boom I started hitting again. There's just downward trends and some are very bad, some are just bad and some aren't to bad. Good Luck!

Considering this bad stak has been for more than a week i'm almost sure that you are also on a bit of tilt right now so my first advice would be to take a pause.
Secondly you can always try some other poker platforms too, in my case it helped a lot that i had accounts on more poker platforms.

i always say- if you forgot what it feels like winning, go for heads up sng's or 50-50's. not to make money, since you can be a losing player at any poker form/game/limits etc. but to enjoy some wins- since at those formats you will end up winning more frequently even if you go all in with any two cards all the time

Posted by schmoyster: Guys!!! For a little sum of money I will give you out the secrets of Poker Stars' RNG.
If you had the secrets you would be "hella rich" (use cartman voice lol) and a little sum of money would not be worth the time you take collecting it. So if you really do, then share with your BRM bretheren.

Patience is a virtue at Pokerstars. Many people play there and many people have the same story as you....but there are also many (not quite as many though) who have good stories and good wins. There is a secret to Pokerstars and BRM'ers who have it may consider sharing!!!!!

I've had similar runs on STARS. Before i actually starting to win i had a 2 year bump where i lost in every major tournament and cash game i played. Felt like the site had something against me and started to doubt myself as a pokerplayer. I took a break and got back on the horse and actually started to win. I'm no big shark or anything i started off with a 30 dollar something bankroll and managed to withdraw 2k+ with a bankroll on 400 before i started to lose again. I did not lose it all in one swoop it took 1 month or smth. It was an really positive experience for me and it actually made me a better poker player during those months. So don't get stuck on it, move on and try not to repeat the misstakes you make and you will EVENTUALLY have those hands on your side for once
i been doing alot better been playing on 888Poker and last night i cashed in 3 tourneys one i came in 3rd ended up losing because i couldn't get much and with the binds eating me i basically pushed with any ace, which was a-7 and q-8 called and made a pair of 8's the other tourny was an upset i lost in 16th place, i was dealt a-k and the guy UTG double the binds, so i desided to call, Flop came 5-A-5 and this point im thinking theres no way he has a 5 he bet i reraised him he went all in i called he showed A-Q turn was an 8 and the river came a Q the other tourny was a freeroll i played which i came in around 20th place winning 2.85

No more Monopoly then...a crying shame.
I know what you mean about sites fatalsilence - I have never taken to PS, never won any solid money there.
There's certain sites I win on and some I don't.
Could be conditioning - you start off a winner on some site and despite future downsings you like that site and continue to win, you remember being a winner on there etc. And the opposite can be true of course.
Try playing around with different skins etc, might help a touch.

Says someone who's best performence is 13th place in a MTT online ever !!
Never got to a final table on a MTT even once ...ahahahah
Aww! what's wrong did I make you look like a fool in the other thread?
In what way is my MTT performance relevant?
You're the one that feels the need to troll a thread without actually adding any content. Just how empty must your life be to do that? Oh yeah it's empty enough to bother to make multi accounts just for the purpose of trolling as well. Truly pathetic.
Now go away, you have the IQ of a mushroom and I can't be bothered toying with you.
