Assuming the object of the game is to keep your clothes on for as long as possible and see everyone else naked first, do you see yourself as a strip poker champion? No doubt that should any keen poker player (particularly a young male) find himself single at a house party with many inebriated young ladies and a deck of cards the subject of strip poker will never be far from his lips. I suppose what I'm getting at is you might think the poker player is being extra crafty in that he is setting up these amateurs to lose their clothes, but are the skills of poker transferrable to strip poker?
It's all very well saying that in poker the good players win in the long-term but in a one off game of strip poker is variance really an issue? And the currency of clothes has a very different context to cash. So what do we think?

Not really that sure on the (betting) rules of strip poker.. although I've always assumed it doesn't provide the same edges as regular poker. I played once as a teenager and the way it was played was purely a gambling/luck game.

I don't think there are any set rules. It must vary between friendship groups although I have also played strip poker in my teens where it was a pure luck game before I really knew how to play poker. Then it was simply deal everyone a hand and the worst hand lost an item of clothing. But if I were to play strip poker now I would push for rules where all items of clothing were worth say 100 in chips and use actual poker chips for smaller change. Any clothes you win you can put on and once out of the game you must stay in that state of undress until the game is finished so you would have to be clear what all-in entails. Other than that normal tournament rules apply.

Have played once with friends, it was silly, everyone has diffrent amount of cloths on and it stats becoming 1 shoe or sock at a time, then everyone pulls out after stripped down to the bra or boxers. The other time was more fun HU with an X when we first met.

Well the only "regulated" game I ever heard of was the one this year organised by paddy power. It was first only an April's fools joke then because of the mass interest they organised the game including some pros, poker magazine reporters and over the mill models. Rules were as any nl hold em tournament except extremely short stacked and you had to trade one item of clothing to rebuy. Check poker player magazine for a report and pics.
