Hitting the ranks on PokerStars  0
I'm trying to work out the fastest way to get VPP on PokerStars. As for ring games PLO seems the fastest but is nothing compared to HU. Now I' not saying I am a special player (mostly break even or make a bit of extra weekend cash) but nobody wants to play against me. I was hitting the 25c/50c tables, managed to play 2 people (broke even after 15 min with one then doubled up with next player) then everybody sat out when I sat at their table. Any idea why?

Anyway, until i figure that out, does anybody have any tips on any game type that accumulates VPP fast?

i think if you want to get vpp's fast you must multitable or play zoom- i don't like zoom, so i go for multitabling. hu is cool and you get lot's of vpp's but it is very hard to play 4+ tables (i find even playing 2 tables makes me lose some edge) and if you play less tables you will earn less vpp's. not very experienced in zoom, but i presume it gives you lots of vpp's- maybe someone can expand on this

Playing 4 zoom tables at once really does earn the points fast.... about as quick as 24-tabling a standard cash game table of the same limit.... I'd say it's the quickest way, barring sitting at a $100/$200 omaha table.....

NL 2-7 Triple Draw is also very good for points.... but very volatile. You need a big bankroll to play there. I struggle to multi-table 2-7, so it's maybe not the best way to accumulate the points.

The fastest way to make vpp is definately cash games, especially zoom tables where you end up to play an insane number of hands in a short period of time!

The problem is that zoom poker also has a high variance so you need to have a solid bankroll to start playing there.

Maybe a better idea is to concentrate on what game you can actually win on PS then collect VPP's
If you keep winning VPP's will come as a bonus.

Dont try to play zoom just for the VPP's if its not your best game.

Just play your best winning game i would say.

I made my experience with Zoom.
Had played some games from time to time at NL 10 and NL25 and was doing not too bad, won some (small) cash.
Then I cashed in some money to get the reload bonus offered by PS and was planning to play it through with Zoom NL25.
Don´t really know what happened, but I did horrible for about 14 days and lost about 25% of my BR.
Was frustrated and tilted, so I stopped playing it the last days.
Atm I lost my confidence for trying it again.

The only problem is that you cashed out and the server never forget you took his money.Try to stall, maybe will get over,to stop punishing you.Try some freerols,do something different
Good luckl

I think this may be true. I popped the hot0.55 for first place $604 Big Smile then won another $200 on Zoom over the next 2 days. Yesterday came back from a few days away at a wedding and decided to withdraw most of it and left $200 in my account. A few hours of luckbox donkouts later and my roll has set me back to playing 1c/2c Angry

wow, and was thinking of myself as a part time rigtard Big Smile
getting back to the question- just looked at stars calculator- and if you play plo at zoom tables- playing for 4 hours a day 2 to 3 $0.01-0.02 tables would make you a supernova! very intriguing numbers to say the least. just by hitting supernova you are guaranteed of around $8000 of rakeback, so that's quite a lot you can lose...

The proper term is "doomswitch", and it occurs anytime you withdraw money from a poker site. What I recommend is to play several different sites, and anytime you withdraw money from one, don't come back to that site for a few weeks while you play at others. After a few weeks the head honchos at the poker site have gotten over the sting of you withdrawing, and you will have a chance at winning again. Guaranteed to work.
