Congratulations man, you're good Thumbs Up

Been going through that last hand in my head and I really should have been able to put it down.

The villain either has nothing or a set minimum. Assuming he has nothing his shove would mean he thought I didn't have an A or a K, which is unlikely. If this was the scenario and I'd have called he'd have dropped from first to last place. Much more likely that he's assuming I do have A or K and he's expecting the call.

To put it more simply. At this point in the hand he must know I either have aces, or A,K. So if he's betting he must have a set.

I should have been thinking less about what I had and more about why he was making the bet.

Congratulations on a great finish zero! Your definitely headed toward one of the big tournament wins. Playing consistent is tough, but if you can make the final table 1 out of every 5 to 7 games I'd think that would be pretty good. I'm not much for stats, but know whe I've played consistent or not. Good Luck!

I'm inclined to go along with your first assessment; There's no getting away from it.

There are just so few hands that beat your top 2 pair (AA, KK or 66). Two aces and kings are already accounted for. Would you really fold on the off-chance he has one of those hands?

You raised 2.5 BB from the button, so it's more likely he's defending his blinds, against a perceived steal attempt. To me it seems -ev to fold here (even accounting for the bubble factor).

I think you played it correctly.
