Lederer files  0
Somehow this news wasn't yet posted on BRM though the whole poker world for already 2 days is intensely listening to and discussing the first interview given by Lederer after the Black Friday. I am not sure that I can post links but if you have a lot of free time to listen to a load of b******t, just go to Youtube and search for "lederer files".

That would be a waste of time actually.
What happened there happened.
Now concentrate on finding some sparkling news about when FT is going to reopen.
That would have been a link everyone would follow Smile

Well, many people since Black Friday wanted to know WHY and HOW it happened. Many wanted to hear Lederer talk about what happened. Finally he is talking. And though he says "I don't know" about a thousand times and clearly trying to make Bitar a scapegoat, there is still enough info about FT disaster in this interview.

Frankly the only people that should be interested about those recordings should be the US prosecutors and justice and they should give Lederer what he deserves.

The only good thing about this story is that the end will be a positive for all the players that played on FTP.

agreed.

I'm sick to death of hearing about FTP and lederer and bitar and freguson etc etc. Ok i dont have money locked on the site but still, it's just plain boring.

It's not like Lederer is going to come out and be like, hey guys, yeah, erm, it was all my fault really, got a little greedy, employed the wrong guys etc etc and we're still rich as f**k.

It's the news story that's been the talk of the poker world for the last week and, following a number of revelations by Howard Lederer, much of the recent discussion has surrounded how genuine he's been throughout the interview. One player who was thrown under the proverbial bus during Lederer's disclosure was Phil Ivey. Not one for public words, Phil has used Barry Greenstein as an intermediary to put forward an alternative take on his actions. In a forum post, Barry firstly outlines how Phil's lawsuit was less a case of being greedy but as a way of leveraging an exit from the company.

Additionally, Phil had made an offer, along with the James Bord Group, to purchase the company. However, this deal was rejected, as were other early deals because those in power at Full Tilt "wanted to retain power that they would lose".

Someone else who's been keen to put across his side of the story is John Juanda. According to Howard he was the second biggest share holder in the company, but not all of what he said was accurate.

Even though it might be interesting i won't waste anytime on it.
I wasn't a part of it (thank to god) and it won't make me any smarter most likely the opposite, and therefore i feel like watching it might not be such a good idea Aww crap!

Lederer to speak again

He first broke his silence with Matthew Parvis and now 2+2 have secured an interview with Howard Lederer.
Set to be recorded on Wednesday and aired on Thursday, the interview will be a chance for the community to put forward the questions they haven't had answered yet.
In preparation for the discussion, a thread has been created where members of the poker community are being encouraged to write anything they would like to ask Howard.
While not all the questions will be asked, Adam Schwartz, the man conducting the interview, hopes to use as many as possible in the piece.
In order to avoid any unnecessary vitriol or sarcasm, Schwartz has asked that users refrain from posting: "jokes, questions that cannot reasonably be posed to Howard or commentary on the Pokernews interview".

Doyle Brunson on Lederer
"I've watched the Lederer Files and they are exactly what I expected. I was widely criticized for saying that I believe that Howard and Chris didn’t know the terrible condition Full Tilt was in."

He goes on to say: "Does this absolve everyone from wrongdoing? No, of course not, but I think any reasonable person will say that Bitar did many things that no one was aware of. In my mind, before Black Friday, not only the board, but all the FT stockholders were complacent and guilty of negligence."
Doyle also touched on Jack Binion's bid for Full Tilt, saying: "I was involved with the deal Jack Binion was trying to make and there was plenty of hope that FT was going to survive and become a viable company."

He finishes by asking people not to bombard him with further questions on the situation as the truth may never be known.

Durrrr on Howard

Another player sharing his thoughts on Howard Lederer is his former Team Full Tilt colleague Tom Dwan. In an interview with Poker Listings he confirmed he met up with Howard this summer.

Dwan explained that he wasn't sure what to make of Howard after not speaking to him for a year:

"I kind of thought he was a complete scumbag and I’m pretty confident I was wrong about that.”

Dwan also shared his thoughts on Gus Hansen being unveiled as the first sponsored player for the soon to be relaunched Full Tilt.

“I think Gus has – from what I’ve heard – handled the Full Tilt situation pretty well, I think it makes sense that they’d sign him.”
