Some daft people playing poker  0
as the title says there really is some idiotic people playing poker...imo i think every poker site should have some sort of entrance exam/test...lol Confused

just played a game at hero, raise preflop with pocket pair, on the flop i go allin with 1 over card on board get a caller with A Club 4 Club guy spikes an Athe guy then has the cheek to say "go and learn how to play the game you noob" to which i replied "i know exactly how to play the game u called my preflop raise then allin on the flop with nothing".i asked why he called and he said he had the nut flush Aww crap!

now this is were the story gets good Confused there was no other Club on the board Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

what hope do we have when people like this are let loose on poker sites??

it was a bad call with the A but you see that all the time so doesnt really bother me that much, but what does bother me is that he called me thinking he had the nut flush, and the only 2 Club on the board was in his hand Confused Confused

Unfortunately is nothing you can do about it, i mean you can not force anyone to waste his money...

They win from time to time but i can assure you that on long term they are losing players!

You are not forced to play with them, when you see that a maniac join the table simply leave.

Isn't that the kind of player you might call a "piggy bank"? They have the money but they easily break and when they do, you get paid !!

Yeah thats exactly what i thought. Fish like that are waiting to gift their money to somebody.

They may win in the ST but give them a chance and they'll lose all their money with top pair.

They used to frustrate me as well, but then you learn that's where the money is at. ilove sitting at tables swelling my roll as the minnows come a' swimming.

sorry i forgot to mention it was a SnG so i couldnt leave..lol..well actually i was forced to leave due to being busted out..lol

Admin very true, but its trying to get them to break, for some reason they seem to get rewarded for playing crap hands compared to players who play ABC poker...but when they do break you do get paid big Big Smile

the thing that really ticked me though, wasnt that he called with his rag A but the fact he thought he had the nut flush..lol

I can understand that there are people who don't understand the game at all and have some minor success at low level tables etc.
But i see the same moronic plays at a higher stage aswell, and the funny part is that they actually manage to make it work.
calls with 5-2 off or bluff allinin with absolutely nothing and manage to hit the runner runner.
It happens far more often then it should and that makes me furious.

It always seems that these players get paid off more than you ever do, but that's probably because we don't play like they do. It's extremely annoying, i don't see much change from lower to higher levels, donks stay donks it's only the money that changes. I more often than not laugh when i get sucked out on at a low stakes cash table, but at the higher levels or deep in to a tournament it can really piss you off.

I agree, and as long as they fail the test, they can play on the site. That way the sites are full of nothing but fish that play ace-rag like this, which is what you want. Also, I'm not sure going all-in on the flop with 1 over is good play, but it depends on your PP, the over and your stack sizes I guess.

I get burnt on a daily basis by the FISH who will chase a continued bet no matter how much just to see the last card. I was on the bubble again today and happen to hit Q,J on the flop. This player chases all the way to the river to hit the K he need to beat me with a K,2. I mean, i know I'm not to win every hand, but why chase in hope to hit. This is one of the few that did hit his / her card, but there's a lot of times they don't and wonder why they never place in the tournaments.

can't quite understand the point of this thread- those people who play silly, r ignoring long term odds, maybe even don't know the rules properly Big Smile r your CLIENTS- you must love and cherish them, u think it's better playing against someone who has similar skills to yours? wrong- too low wdge, and too much rake wasted...

I always smile when I see or hear people talking of players who play 'bad' hands as if everyone is expected to follow the poker 'ettiquette' of only calling the righht hands at the right time....as poker is all about winning....whatever the cost to you opponents and playing the wrong hand at the right time is one way of winning!

it might be easy to love and cherish them if the sites allowed me to beat them once in a while, but from my experience its a lot easier said then done!!

well the bets and the cards should made any normal player fold! especially when they hit no card, and i'm not talking about his s**t play, im making the point that the idiot thought he had a flush as he was holding 2 clubs in his hand when there wasnt even any other club on the board...unless i'm misunderstanding your comment and you think you can make a flush with 2 cards then my comment still stands
Confused

The point is, you get idiots who chase ridiculous odds and sites like Pokerstars always seems to reward their stupidity.

Theres nothing more annoying than going game after game, and having it happen to you, mostly by donks who you really think would be better suited on bingo sites.

i would bet money that you played that hand on pokerstars. the thing is with pokerstars being the biggest and by the most publicised poker site, it will be the first port of call for most new players. i think that's why there is such a high percentage of bad beats on there. i know people who play on some of the smaller sites and there seems a much better average standard of play, so i kinda think that even though field sizes and massive guarantees might not be so prevelant there is a much better chance of not getting "donked off" and actually cashing more often. pkr is pretty good, i seem to cash quite consistently on there and i think thats because there are less bad players.

Maybe this guy didn´t use a 4 colour deck and there were some spades on the board ?
Nevertheless these are the players you will make money from in the long run.
Sometimes they get rewarded, but in the long run you will get their money.
