I would suggest that you turning over your cards was certainly not against any rules.... I once read something by Doyle Brunson saying that theoretically, you can sit there with your cards face up on the table..... but obviously, you can gain no advantage from it and give all the advantage to your opponents, who can just call if they're infront (or behind and stupid Smile )....

The one time I've been cheated against (and I still maintain that I WAS cheated against, despite no one else agreeing) went like this....

I was playing in a SnG style tourney in a pub near me. We had decided before starting that 1st place would win 35 and 2nd 15 (10 players, 5 buy-in)... I got down to 3 players remaining. One guy who was terrible, but lucky as hell.... and had been pissing me off for ages with his lucky plays time after time.
I picked up QQ on my deal, I raised, SB folded, then numpty pushed all-in from the BB.... I called and he turned over 88.

I turned the first card over, then the second... so far so good - then the 3rd card was an 8....

I was standing at the time, and being pissed off... I quickly threw the next card to the table followed by the river, which landed face down, and stormed off outside for a smoke...

Numpty went on to win, but I was later told that the river I didn't see was actually a Queen.... but, and I quote - "It was my fault for walking away, so it was right he got the chips".

.....I have never played there again Smile

They probably thought it was pretty surreal you storming off when you'd won and were wondering if you were coming back lol.

However with your opening bit you just reminded me. I was once playing in a pub where there was a similar annoying idiot. He thought it would be funny to put his cards face up from the beginning of the hand. He shown he had j10 suited. I was on the button with a10 and was completely livid this hand was even still being played. But the person who runs it said play on. I was absolutely fuming because I was very short stacked and didn't really want to waste this because of an idiot. I reluctantly folded. Would have flopped two pair AND had people betting at me and won it.
Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

Why fold A10 when you're short stacked in a bar game? Confused I mean you gotta know there will be fishes in these games, and mathematically A10 is a pretty strong hand pre flop, especially if there are 6 or less players sitting at the table. Fact is you could wait 20-30 more minutes to catch a hand to shove with and end up doing it with K10 suited and a much shorter stack because the blinds went up again... Blink

And I agree with Jess about the trip queens, when they saw the queen they should've let you won the hand since you guys were already all-in and you both showed your hands. But normally, throwing your hand away = mucking it. So never do that before the hand is over, even if you only have 2 outs you still have 4%, that's far from nothing... What's fun about luck/bad luck is that it works both ways. If we knew what card is about to be turned then the game would be boring, except we would win a lot of money Big Smile

I had like 1000, the blinds were 50/100, he raised to 300 early position and two other people called before me. I didn't really want to fold and knew I probably shouldn't have. But it was such a weird and awkward situation where people where arguing. I don't know if I panicked. But my logic at the time was it was off suit, hes just shown some of my outs. Its just ace high at the end of the day, and two other people called the raise. It was an 8max.

Machine QC Yes i agree to a degree but from sadammans comment i would have had "people" betting into me it was not a heads up situation unless his all in seemed strong enough and the 10J suited influenced other hands enough to isolate the numpty

The hand or a few after, aswell, I had qk suited, raised. He called on the blind. I flopped an open ended straight flush draw. Shoved. He called on nothing. Hit a pair. I hit nothing. Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

Deff screwed all in holes revealed bad toss down on river was not miss deal -t hey must have taken time to turn river face up for u not to hear any remarks and yes u should have been awarded hand and been blinded out if no-one had deceny to let u know u had hit river- although you are responsible for your own hand at end of day - but have looked for live game i saw on TV on u tube where player revealed his hand HU and walked away from table -He won and did get his chips awarded . obviously crowd screams were un missable.

Good call on the part of the dealer. Defo collusion and should be penalised in the way they were. While there is an unwritten assumption that when someone is all in the bigger stacks may check it down to the end, but without agreeing but doing it almost telepathically is fine...but as soon as you open your mouth you are done for. and righhtly so too.
