Just curious if any of the Mobsters are playing in the step tournaments on Carbon Poker? It's not bad for players who want an opportunity to win a $1 for basically nothing.
All you do is register for your play money chips then go to "promotions" and it will cost 250 play money chips to get a step 1 ticket. Once you get it register in the 10 player Step1 tournament and place in the top 3 to get a step2 ticket. Get your step 2 tic and place top 2 to get a step 3 ticket and then place in 1st to win a $1. (still get a step 3 ticket again if you place 2nd or 3rd in step 3 game.
Sorry to document it all, but I often read in the forum about an individual wanting to borrow or be staked to get a bit of cash. This is a way someone could get some free money. easier then a freeroll and you can apply for 10 step1 tickets a day so if your a good player you could potentially win $10 a day. Or, after winning a couple play a bigger buyin game to start your way to the top. LOL

hey green,i've played on carbon and never noticed those step tourneys,by the sound of it that's a good way for building a roll from scratch so good on you for letting the mobsters know about that one. i might go back and try them just for the hell of it.

it's really interesting class and had no carbon account, or freerolls have good deals for new registered? should i have real money on account ? because is restricted ... or for romanian players is restricted ? Cuz when i registered i don't found romanian country... i registered with RWANDA

Not that easy as you say it is. Cause the prize is just 1$ paid to first place only. So kinda hard to be placed amongst ten players, ten times per day. I think you have better chances playing normal buying sng's that pay more places.

They start that slow on those steps. Hollywood Poker used to have those tourneys also, and there were always lots of players going for that, after all, you're talking about free money in reduced tables, which make it seems easier to get. And going up and down on the steps it also turns it very interesting. People get another motivation to go for it without risking a cent. I like to go for step tourneys, even if you have to pay for the steps. But paying few, like in Gala Poker, and then having the chance to win big (it's turning $0,10 in $60) if passing the seven steps. Not that much hey?
I like the stage Qualifiers to bigger money games that rely on. no of seats per registered players but start by playing a DoN to attain a free buy in (go slightly higher than buy in to cover the site rake)
play next rounds with same interesting bounce back re matches for runners up and choose a final stage game that has a bigger field of players u will see runner up cash consolation for satalite to main events or a tiered payout structure on bigger payout in house finals.
I was once in a satelite where i declared i wanted to go out because i had a ticket already and two other players were doing same thing so strange to be in a game where you are competing to go out next

any promotion which gives a chance to win something from nothing is great. since most of those something from nothing tourneys are mtt's i always find it very cool when a site offers sng format for giving away cash- everest poker does so, remember some time ago pkr had sng freerolls, not sure if they are still on

------------ My first try was a decent attempt. I got to stage 2 and then I went out on 5th place in step 2 with KT vs 95 in 35T flop. Went all-in and got called by 95 and turn comes out a 9.

I know it's not easy, but I have been playing and a lot of the players come from the playmoney games where I hate to say, but their not playing well. I mean, I can get the step 2 ticket with little effort and recall the top 3 players get a step 2 ticket out of the 10.
Once you use your step 2 to play in the step 3, 2 of the top 3 players receive the top 3 ticket, 3rd place receive another step 2 ticket. Therefore 3rd place doesn't need to start back at step1.
Once your in the step3 tourney yes you need to place 1st to win the measley $1, but 2nd and 3rd give you another step3 ticket. Odds aren't in any one players favor, but if you have no money and want to play you do have 10 free chances to reach the $1. Of course your need to place in the step 1 and 2 tournaments first, but it's easier then most freerolls. I mean there's players collecting step 1 and step 2 tickets without playing a single hand. They register and let the players go at it because the blinds go up so slow that they win without ever getting knocked out.

just out of curiosity... is it possible to gather more then 1 step 2 ticket. say you play all your step 1 in one go and you qualify in 5 of them, would you be able to play all those 5 then or do the tickets overwrite themselves so to speak?

Cheers mate! Not sure how much use that is gonna be to me though... You may have read my other thread on the 5 bubble finishes in a row. Well, that streak continues over at carbon. I managed to get to step 2 7/10 times today all of those 7 times, I finished 4th when 3 get payed. This is starting to get ridiculous....

If I did the blinds would eventually eat me up. I just have one of those runs right now I guess...
