I won an entry from a freeroll at party poker but since I already had an entry, I got $15 tournament dollars to be used in MTT's or SnGs. I played 5 $3 SnG's and here are the results:
6-handed, top 2 get payed:
1. 3rd - AA vs J2, he runner runnered trips 2. 3rd - AQ vs 9T on AQ9 flop, he hit J8 on turn and river 3. 3rd - 77 vs 66, river gave him a 6 4. 3rd - KJ vs A3 on KJA flop, he hit TQ on turn and river 5. 3rd - 68 vs 57 on 579 rainbow flop, he runner runnered a flush
To sum it all up, I managed to bust on the bubble FIVE TIMES IN A ROW ON BLOODY SUCK-OUTS!!! Seriously, what the f**k is the odds for that happening!? It's freaking unbelievable!!

Mmm.. often when I have SNG downswings it is caused by coming 3rd in a whole bunch of them. It's not actually that strange though, since that IS the bubble.

You don't play on BWIN :-J ... in 30mins i've got 8 times AA and 8 times i losed... AA vs AQ AA vs KK AA vs QQ AA vs KQ AA vs 85 AA vs any two i lose... don't play on BWIN
Incredible suck-outs and i thought my AK v 92o numpty all in on two consecutive hands HU was bad!!

Yeah sure I get that but for being the favourite in all give of them, I the odds are pretty damn low that this would happen. And the fact that they all sucked out on me on the river or both turn and river makes it even more strange really. I get that there are downswings and that it was the bubble but still, 5 times in a row and when the money got into the pot, I was the favourite, most of the times with over 70% to win (I wouldn't put any money on it, to lazy to calculate at the moment),

I had same downswing caused by string of BBt so swoped to full ring games to preserve my diminishing bankroll......

Yeah sure, it's poker. And as you said, math, probability, etc. So break it down: Individually those finishes isn't anything strange. But put them all together. 5 times in a row, money in as a favourite on all of them, I got sucked out on all of them and the final card that actually made them win was the river in all five games! I'd say that the probability for that is pretty damn low!

yes unrea!!!!!!!!!!!!l to mentally calculate those odds you would need Jason Bourne's enhanced capacity certainly is heading towards Conspiracy theory!!!

you haven't lost it with that hand, because in that case you just got a split pot. But, about the rest, it's a sad poker story, and i believe it should have put you mad for living it. It's like if PP didn't wanted you to win; they gave you that oportunity, but it's just to pass time. Now you have to show them you'll do very good with the first ticket you got, like geting revenge! GL

if you are asking about odds of you coming in 3rd for 5 times in a row and get busted out when in front- i'd say they are realistic...if you would've won 5 times in a row busting out your opponents with complete crap- then i would say something changed in online poker tough luck man, don't give up, someday you'll bust pocket aces with 27o too
Replied to a promo last week where I'm to play 20 SnG's and/or tourneys in 3 days. Decided to play $1 DoN's...cashed in the first eight...lost the next eight. Played two $1 tourneys cashed in one and took other down...that made up for all the BB in the Don's...played two more Don's and lost. So the requirements of the promo are met and bankroll is up and I win $5 and two tourney tickets for this month. If it weren't for the tourneys my bankroll wud be dessimated. The BB's were a mindblower as are yours...just so you know you're not isolated. At least in reality your bankroll is still intact....that's always a good thing

I've had days where I get busted on the bubble several times. Don't know about 4 or 5 timezs straight, but I've been so frustarted I felt like there was someone in support that didn't like me (LOL). I know that's not so, but you can become so fedup with these type of results it makes you wonder about some things. It is poker so I guess anything is possible. Your luck will change and you'll be in 5 or 6 times in a row.

That was a typo. I meant to write A, not Q. Sorry about that
i won a $33 ticket for the WPT Montreal game...just played it there and didnt get a singl hand...last hand i played i called an allin preflop which was also called by bigstack
i had - AK big stack has - KJ original allin had - KQ
so i was ahead and original allin hits a Q on flop..so i was out without winning a single hand, or even getting a decent starting hand

Well, this is only using 20 Party Points but I just reached ITM, currently in 11th place out of 50 on a 528 starting field. Top 60 gets paid so I'm guaranteed $1 at the moment. Hoping to make it to the FT and get some nice cash!
------------ And of course I just busted out in 43... I hit AA and went up against AK, all-in preflop and 4 spades came up on the table, I of course did not have that A. Winning that pot would have put me in the chip lead. Oh well, That's poker. I'll just have to go and screw around with that $1 I just made on the cash tables. Maybe I can get a decent profit.
