And the bad beats continue...  0
I can't even count how many bad beats I've had the past few days. The latest was in the BRM freeroll at stars. Finished in 177, 117 was payed. I had AQ, flop came AT5, I was short stack so went all-in, got called by two players. One had KT and the other had 9T. Turn was some crap and the river was another freaking T.

It's quite odd tho since I keep getting payed off at Yachting... Could that be because I actually do play well or is it maybe because I'm just lucky over there and unlucky everywhere else? Or do I maybe actually play bad in general?

Any input about this would be great! Thanks!

Yachting is a smaller site with less players. So i'd expect that to be the reason you haven't been slapped with variance over there yet. Its not that it isn't there it just hasn't made its way around to you yet.

well, it just did... AK, flops TJQ, bet a lot, network dies so I was auto folded. next hand 88, hit trips on the flop, the board then turns out 789TJ and ofcourse ha had Q3 so he won. And just now, AA and network dies again so I lose all but 100 chips... congratulations: you've been screwed!!!

I feel for you. I've only just came out of a downswing which lasted like 8 months. They just keep getting worse and worse when you think you are due some good luck. Tilt doesn't help either lol

Play for real money on stars. People have respect for their play and the ones who don't are very profitable to play against in the long term.

Must be a different Pokerstars to the one I play on then, because Pokerstars is the biggest donkfest known in the history of mankind, and they don't half reward the donks on that site..

Going by what you've said here, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and suggest your stack was 20BB or less. All of this most likely would have been avoiding by (correctly) going all-in preflop.

Seriously, in any standard-payout MTT, NEVER call or raise with <20BB stacks, simply fold or shove, NEVER deviate from this. NEVER EVER.

For what reason would that help me when I keep getting bad beats? It has nothing to do with anything like that, I'm just unlucky at the moment I would think.

I personally think that it's a bit of mistake to compare the traffic that you get on a smaller poker site like yachting in your case and another big platform like stars...

Plus you also need to take in consideration that the pokerstars brm freerolls are pretty much crazy considering there are so many non-brm players that participate. That being said i think the yachting results are a better indicator of your play compared to your results on stars freerolls Blink

You will receive more bad beats in freerolls than real money because people will get there money in worse much more frequently.

They had quite some outs 2gether but thats not the point.
Its how you react on these.
If you want to do it serieus (especcially in freerolls), play 12 freerolls at the same time or more.
You get bad beats and positiv beats, they level out.
If you get better you also get these beats, its just how you handle them, its part of poker go to the next game.

I really don't understand who's the dealer... and why he give us almost nuts on the flop... and after river we lose all the money.. for what ? for rake ? okay i understand we need to generate rake for platform and i really don't understand why we can't play our cards without action of dealer... for rake ...

I feel this at Carbon some days. there's days that go by with bad beat after bad beat and you start to think, "Am I playing different" or "Was I just lucky for awhile". The answer is no! Rememeber, there are up and down trends in which we all have. I just think some of us have more downward trends then upward trends. Meaning, more bad beats!

Well i can say you are pretty unlucky, cause besides the bad beats that can happen
to anyone, you had the disconnections too, making you loose some more.
Better luck next time.

I cant how many bad beats i have received from Scandinavian players not saying there bad because they are better than your average online poker players however when they do suckout they suckout good. The Sunday storm i get dealt pocket AAs 13th hand in have not played a hand yet. I raise from EP guy Sweden 3bet me i 4bet he shoves i snap call. This guys turns over pocket 88s the flop is a blank the turn is a blank he has 2 outs on the river and the river is an 8. What was he thinking? I was bluff 4 betting?

Yeah he probably did think that. It seems that there are a lot of players on Stars that think everyone is bluffing all the time. It's dumb but that's the way it seems to be.

The problem with freerolls and especially on pokerstars is that there are to many players (about 50% of them are gamblers that are playing flip coin)

For freerolls there are a lot of players that try to get a big bankroll in teh first hour and so try to reach the payout, if they loose they havent lost several hours playing.

In freerolls you loose often with better starting hands to gammblers as they always have chances to hit

tip : try to avoid bluffing in a freeroll, mostly you get called.
better go allin after the turn when you have the nuts instead of raising the pot , most of the gamblers always call when they are involved in the pot. These guys often think you re bluffing whern you go allin
