Family feuds  0
Not so long ago I asked how your non-poker playing friends and family think about your poker playing. But what if your relatives are also poker players? It occurs to me that they may have even more to say about it. Whether they think you are playing bad tactics or repeating their mistakes there must be some disagreements when poker runs in the family.

If they taught you to play I can imagine that playing poker with them must be a hell of an ordeal cos they will never accept you have improved beyond them. And maybe you don't want to beat them cos who wants to take money off family. Or maybe they know you too well. You grew up testing your poker face on them whenever you were in trouble as a kid.

So what I'm saying is maybe I'm better off keeping my poker life separate from my family. Any thoughts?

I rarely play poker with my family. Only really is with my brother and my step brother and that's maybe 2 or 3 times a year only.

My girlfriend do play poker but we haven't taken out my poker set yet (even tho we've been together for about 2,5 years). We only play in some MTT's online together.

If I would decide, I would play a hell of a lot more of poker with my family. It's good fun really and you get to socialize with your family through it which, let's face it, doesn't really happen all that often now a days.

I do enjoy playing with my family but just for fun. Mixing money into it would take the '' sportsmanship'' out of a beat and besides, there's no need to worry about ur tells or play. fun is the key word here. to make money i'll rather do it online or would go to a casino if thats what would take. cannot rip-off ur relatives u see Tongue

playing with your family is not interesting just because you are essentially ripping your family of their money for food Big Smile probably the best known situation is when father teaches his son how to play poker, and then son achieves way more than father- the "how to play properly" dilemma is gonna be on agenda Smile

In my experience it does just create anger and awkwardness. I have no problem beating my dad. Its just when he does things that I would never do, and beats me. Alcohol doesn't help either. I tried just not having a pint when I play with him. But that doesn't help either hes still a tit.

I've made the comment about playing with family and friends, but it's few and far between times. For the most part I'm getting bitched at or harrassed for spending most of my spare time playing electronic poker. My brother blows me poop when he stops by and my wife daily. Thing is I've worked since I was 16 in the factories so if I want to come home and play poker I'll do so. I still mow, do dishes and cook plus address any issues that need addressed.

With all said, i do wish my family would play more. Only one that even holds up is my son.

I would always like to play poker more with my friends and not with my familiy...

Still there are many games out there that are played in families on weekends and i personally think that all are boring compared to poker Smile

My family dont play poker they don't even know the rules of the game. However, i have taught my girlfriend to become a winning player in about 3 months.

And how much have you won? Obviously not enough to resist a no deposit bonus. So she must now be better than you then?

How about you just drop the know it all, amazing player, racist act, and admit, you're a shitty micro grinder yourself.

------------
Either that or a rich boy.

As they say anything that is for free cannot be bad. Who said they knew it all? Even Phil ivey does not know it all as poker is a game of imperfect information and since you don't know this your a fish. Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

Maybe there's some sexual tension in your racism, because you're excessively racist, except for when it comes to Phil Ivey from what I've seen. Maybe hes your guilty pleasure and you have a massive man crush on him.

Nah no tension as such but do respect him as a player. However myself and your mother oh boy does she give it good.
