Impossible to know where you're at if you don't bet when you flop an ace. I'm not really a cash game player. Preflop it seems like you played it right. But when you flop an ace you really need to bet at it to gauge how strong you are. I call them 'feeler bets.' Its for when you're not feeling too positive about the hand and you put a bet in to either fold or call to a reraise. Otherwise when he bets you find yourself in an even bigger predicament. Turn and river pretty much the same because you didn't bet at the turn and on the river it was already game over.

Did you have any stats on him or not ? Does he 3bet a lot in position ?
You should have bet on the flop to know how strong you are
If he was a 3better you could have played check/raise.

The way you played you never know how strong his cards because you called preflop and on the flop

First of all if the guy 3bets you preflop on these limits (given you dont have a read on him or any stats) he usually has a range going from, TT,JJ,QQ,Kk,AA,AKs, AKo.

To me with AQo you're behind preflop. You hit your hand on the flop, now you need to know if you're still behind or winning. Bet 1/2 or even 2/3 potsize. If he 3bets you again I would get out of the hand, if he calls, go for his stack.

On these limits it's usualy very straight forward poker. Why do you check raise all in on the turn?

in a cash game...folding AQo on a 3 bet pre flop is always the best option because your hand is almost always dominated....sometimes i would call a 3 bet or move all in with AQs if i feel that he 3bets to steal...but usually a 3 bet pre flop means a very strong hand in this limits....

Bet after flop is needed to get information, ( lately 1/2 or 2/3 pot is not working well, many player just ignore about it, cos it's not explain anything for him if he had something ).
I am sure he had AK, AQ, AA or hit two pair. KK , AJ ? sometimes happen at his style of play, Big Smile Big Smile .History of his play is needed. My choice is fold on turn.

I am really not sure here what I would do. WIthout knowledge of the player its hard to judge. One thing is for certain, if I flop top pair second kicker then I am betting the flop.

The only thing i would have done different from you would be the initial bet pre-flop, which i would have made in $0.45, but i believe that would change anything from your opponent's strategy. Either you're equal or he's got a K and you lost. I can't imagine him going this hard with an ce at the flop without having an Ace. If he had a pair, that Ace also should have made him play other way. If he happens to win with KKK, don't worry, you played well and he is a lucky morron.
