Not so into poker lately cos of bussy ect. But get littl more time with the winter coming so trying to get more into poker. I challenge myself else i get too easily bored and stop playing.
The challenge is to start with $100 and a some low PKR-points (only 5000) and to get it too $1000 before X-mas. Gonna play kinda by the book, use bankrollmanagement and if i succeed i gonna copy and paste this style into another player who i will invest in (not the whole $1K).
I gonna play mostly SNG/phases and sometimes a low MTT.

Go for it doomdy, that’s a nice way to start thinking about X-Mas! Here in Portugal the trademarks didn’t even started to call for it on the TV neither on other types of advertising, so this makes you the first person in the whole world who makes me think about this year’s X-Mas, congratulations for this title (now I only have to wait 2 and a half months before it really is X-Mas and one month more after the 25th December so that everyone can leave X-Mas feelings behind and return to the real world). And, btw, what do you think to do with those $1,000? Family X-Mas gifts? GL doomdy!

$1000 from $100 in less than 3 months? and playing by the book? sure you're accomplished enough to think this is doable. i will take the other side though- i'm gonna be one of those who say not a chance! will be interesting to see your progress- i think you will fail...probably gonna be at $300 most...but i'm saying this not because i want to see you fail, just expressing my position...waiting for the updated- good luck

That's seem's like a pretty tuff challenge, but I believe you've got the capability to accomplish the task at hand. I know I surely couldn't and mostly due to the fact I couldn't play enough of the low stake games I play in to make that amount. So I understand rake a bit does that mean at 30% you'd actually need around $800 in winnings to meet your goal. I think 30% of 1000 equals 300, but is that what it is for you? Out of every $10 dollars earned you receive $3 or am I way off. just not sure as to how rake actually works.

The rake is the fee the poker room takes from every CG pot, BI to tourneys or BI to SnG's. Say the buy-in is 10+1, the +1 is the rake. With 30% rakeback, this would mean that by entering the 10+1 tourney, you're generating 1 in rake and you will get back 0.30 from that.

Doomdy GL with your challenge, but I think when you play by the rules of a good bankrollmanagement it will be very hard (not to say impossible) Surely it also depends on how many time you 'll spend on the tables and how lucky you 'll be at the MTT. (winning over 100$ with 1 $ buy-in) Let s assume if you play SNG Double or nothing of 2$ +0.20 $ rake :
in 100 games you pay 220 $ fee, if you win you get 4$ so you need to win 54 times top get equal (or have a profit of 6$ in rake)
So if you would win about 65 % of your games (is a good result I think) you d win about 50 $ (44$ winnings + 6 $ in rake)
So to increase your bankroll from 100$ up to 1000$ you would have tio play 1900 SNG of this type (when you have a winning rate of 65%) So it will take a lot of time to play so much SNG

Update:
Not played much, couple of phases SNG with new structure (6max) which i really like and must be very doable imho, but you have to multi them have. Won a mini-masters ticket woop in a freeroll (buyin $6), if i win that then challenge done but most likely i just min cash the TheNit i am
Roll: $98ish, plus $6 mini masters ticket, plus couple of phase tickets. So not played a lot but doin good
@ Mober and Uhhcallmi:
Did not yet do the staking cos really running out of time to play poker cos of company. Hoping to do it November/December with more time.
