Most Embarrassing Moment at the 2012 WSOP?

When about 50 players remained in the 2012 WSOP Main Event, Aussie David Balkin ended up in a heads-up duel against Gaelle Baumann from France. Before the river card had been dealt, Balkin had about 75% chance of taking home the pot with three of a kind 10s against Baumann's AJ (flush draw and straight draw). The river card gave Baumann the nut flush and Balkin moved all-in almost straight away. B[...]   Read more » Most Embarrassing Moment at the 2012 WSOP?

What has he done next? Went all-in without watching to the cards? After this hand, opponents lost all the fear they could be saving in respect to Aussie David Balkin. I’m not saying he played bad, and after that bet on the turn there was no way he could play different with that river. If it has passed on his mind the Baumann could be going for a flush draw - he didn’t expected Baumann to have so many outs – he wouldn’t have made such a strong bet on the turn. And then there was no turning back. But not looking to opponents cards in a showdown is priceless…

maybe one of the reason he didn't noticed the flush draw is cause he was wearing shades n was fully concentrated on the 10's Tongue

ok funny but who can say he did not see a possible better hand.

Me occured the same online when I played Omaha.

After the turn I had a flush Ace high with no pairs on the board. When the river showed no pair on the board (so no FH of 4 of a kind possible), I went allin and lost to a str flush.
He had 9-Q and the 8,J and 10 were on the table.
Of course it was my mistake as I did notice the possible str flush and I thought I had a certain win with my flush (ace high)

Now that you talk about it, he was really lucky for not having a joke loving comedian on the table like Tony G, I am sure he wouldn’t let him in peace after watching him doing such a party with his friends for a hand that he lost. This only shows it could have been even more embarrassing for Aussie David Balkin.

the most embarrasing moment is yet to be televised i think

when the hungarian eliminates Gaelle baumann as the final table bubble boy

IT was not a good call, that made Baumann.I think in the same big touraments you cant call like Baumann, because you had not so much chanses. You have to take care of your chips,on a late stage of the tournament, when your chips costs so much. Its only my opinion.
