I believe you broke the record with shots used and not winning anything.
We are talking about major jinx there, but you also didnt have in mind something
like that can happen and not being able to go for the money.

I believe you made history in BRM and will keep that record for a very long time.

I didn't have that in mind since there wasn't anything in the rules or FAQ about a maximum number of allowed shots to be used at a safe. And I did check before I bought my first 50 shots. I was afraid someone would crack it while I was trying but that wasn't what happened.

I figured it wouldn't be a low number since the 5 previous ones were all in the 000-300 range. The odds of getting a 6th number in a row in that area isn't all that big.
I used 700-799, 500-599, 600-699, 800-899, 400-499, 300-399, 900-999, 100-199. I was gonna go for 000-099 next but obviously that wasn't possible.

I think this is flawed logic. The chance of a low number is not dependent on previous draws. If this were true I'd consider a career as a roulette player... Blink

Yup. Classic gamblers fallacy!

Yeah it's true that the odds of it happening 6times in a row are low but in this case it had already happened 5 times so you should only be concerned about this single case. And the odds in a single case are equal every time, no matter what has happened before it.

really? so you are saying that after 10 reds there is 50/50 chance (taking away the house edge) that next ball is gonna be red again? theoretically yes, mathematically yes, running a random number simulation- probably yes, but practically? go to a casino and place bets on black only after 10 reds hit in a row- you will see if it's 50/50

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic...

Just in case you're not; do you suppose the physics of a roulette wheel change, making black more probable after 10 reds? If so, by how much exactly?

The chance of 10 reds followed by 1 black is exactly the same as for 11 reds in a row...

Well it was a try and it could have worked. Guess you calculated that in worst case you will run break even.
But in addition to that 800 shots rule which we now know all bout, there are some other dangerous factors.
During the time you were putting in all these numbers (I guess it took about 1 hour) somebody else could have cracked it.
In addition - and I guess nobody else mentioned it before - when the price pool changes/goes up, the number of the combination also changes.
So lets say you try 400 shots and then the price goes up, the strategy is ruined by that.

Never knew about such rule. I remember using 1000+ shots one day in 2008 witout being restricted (don't ask why I used more than 1000 shots, I simply wasn't focused enough Blink ).

LOLWAT?

As marqis mentioned, just in case you're not being sarcastic. Discounting the house-edge, of course it's 50:50 !

wow dude i think you just got punked by the safe witch with the gun. That shelia hates me mates.

i think 800 wasted saved shots would be like getting pocket aces cracked by an idiot shove you all in pre flop with 5 9 off suit and catching a blasted striight on the river causing you to place one from the money in a big tournament.
