A proposed $3 billion overhaul of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre that includes a hotel, sprawling urban park, two new office towers and a casino will generate $50 million in annual property tax revenue, plus millions more in profit-sharing, said an Oxford Properties Group official....I think it is a great idea, I live in Toronto and would love to start playing in MTT's and the odd cash game at the casino. GREAT IDEA , MGM Grand and all the big name in vegas are trying to get there paw's in on the action here in Toronto. I dont care who gets the contract as long as we get our huge casino...................Toronto= the new vegas

wow 3 billion project! that seems awesome- any city would be very happy to get such a project. when it will be open- this will sure be the place to hang around, and yeah it will generate lots of tax income, create new jobs and attract more people from surrounding areas. i envy you- we have 3 casinos in my city, but none of them r even close to what you will have in Toronto

$3 billion is a big investment, that must be quite an enterprise. And, besides the fun you may have there in the future, think about the jobs it will create, either when it starts working but also while it will be build. We really need someone to make an investment like this here in Portugal. When I read about a company planning a big infrastructure similar to this to Madrid, I wrote that they would have better opportunity, cheaper, in a zone with much better climate, and perhaps more profitable in Portugal, near a new artificial lake generated with a big dam. The weather is always good, think about the opportunities. Beach, water sports, hotels, boats, casino, golf club… Good luck for you in Toronto with that new investment, we will keep dreaming about something looked like that here in Portugal.

No matter what the status of the economy is always you will see projects like this one. Imagine how many people could get food and water with all that money. Thye could feed a small country with it
But at the end Vegas will be always Vegas and nothing could match it. Unless they start making Sahara a huge casino

Well of course the system I live in is called capitalism, an economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made and MAINTAINED chiefly by private individuals or corporations, especially as contrasted to cooperatively or state-owned means of wealth.......so basically half the world could be starving they look at it as we are the clubs....and they are the diamonds...you have to know what card suites represent or u will not understand.
