just want to share some info, ideas.
* at the moment we already have a bigger guaranteed prize-pool than our previous pl omaha tournament. fcumred has donated $10 for the tourney! big thanks from the community zeroster said he will add $2, i will add $1- so $13 already, takingdrugs said he will add something too. anyone else are very welcome too donate too
* our biggest problem with the previous tourney was "sitting out" dudes- so this time we will have a different tourney structure to battle with them easily we will start with 1000 stacks, 10 min blinds, antes gonna kick of at level 4 and we will have unlimited rebuys for 60 min and one add on afterwards. you can do double rebuy (2000 stack) and the add on is another 1500. already tested this format in demo mode- works like a peach so for 1st hour you can basically just donk around- go all in with any cards and rebuy again- or you can turn up later if you want to skip to the real action- since the real game will start after rebuy period is over. sitting out dudes will be blinded away in an hour or so (50/100 blinds after 60 min, and ante of 10 from 50min)
* i think tourney this time will take place on Sunday, but i will listen to the donors mostly (if you have money- you order the music heh )
* prize-pool imo will be around $15 and onwards, so we can have more than 3 places paid this time- i would go for top 5 paid. lets say $15 prize-pool, that would be something like: $5 - 1st $4 - 2nd $3 -3rd $2 - 4th $1 - 5th
but that again is an open question
* now the fun part- biggest brm home games tourney was dozn's freeroll- it had 70 people registered (at least i was told so), yeasterday at pl omaha we had 55 players, pretty close heh? so this week our goal is to have more than 70 players registered hope we can kick dozn's ass
p.s. i will create tourney tomorrow, and will open a new thread on that, see ya at the tables

Posted by takingdrugs: il send $5 on friday. i like your top 5 payout but beef up 1st place with the extra coins. think since more people play holdem this will be big.
cool- with your $5 we have a prize-pool of $18 Guaranteed already!

not sure we can do a lot with that time zone if we play on saturday, it's gonna be 17-18 gmt, so in your country it will be sunday 1-2 at night if got that right

so with our current $18 pool, top 5 places would look something like this: $8 - 1st $4 - 2nd $3 - 3rd $2 - 4th $1 - 5th

gonna create the tournament tomorrow- so all the details will be given then. you will see the new thread for the tourney. buy-in will be with play money, same amount- 11 play money chips, unlimited rebuys & add on for 10 play money chips. not sure about bounties yet, prize-pool is $18 atm, but maybe someone is going to add, so it's not the final number yet. (even if it is- it's already 2x bigger than yesterday!)

Why unlimited re-buys,you want to brake the time record for the longest tournament? Last night I had Mr Bounty in my hand and lost him. See you next saturday

I'll play again, it was a good game but as you said the sitouts were a pain in the butt, it took over 3 hours to kick them all out, looking forward to the next one and thanks for the 3 bucks I won.

unlimited rebuys for 1 hour means that anyone who registers but doesnt play will be blinded out in the first hour.

I also don't like the idea of unlimited rebuys in first hour. That means in first hour everyone is going to play on all kind of stupid hands. One question you didn't say how much is rebuy. I already said this but i think it is better to open registration for tournament half hour or hour before beginning and maybe late registration period because than everyone who registers will be playing. This way there will be maybe less registered players (unless you want to beat dozn's tourney at any costs ) but all will be playing.
Anyway you organise this and give your money,so you make the rules isn't it .
Didn't see that you posted rebuy price. As i see rebuys are play money and this way i don't like rebuy idea even more

here's how i see this issue: if we let dudes register with 30 min left till tourney, can we guarantee that they will play? maybe they will be called to work, maybe they will get involved in other tourney/cash game and dump this one, maybe their gf comes along and asks them for a fcuk session etc. the point is that in any freeroll, whatever methods you use- there will be sitting out dudes anyway- so i think it's better to use structure that helps to get rid of them quickly, and leaves us later with a normal tourney...yeah for the first hour people will play any hand- i would call this period "risk free chip accumulation"- you just increase your stack before real action starts- if you dont like this donking fest- you can just come in an hour later do single double rebuy and add on and you are good to play...

I agree with the unlimited rebuys ..let us donk around for an hour or so , until we kick the sit-outs , and after that we can play some decent poker , looking forward to the tournament , good job pochui !

Some good work going on here you hippy dudes!!!!!! As for the one hour unlimited rebuys to get rid ofthe sitter outers, Unibet autoatically kick out anyone who does not play in the first blind! is that too techy to achieve to prebent the need for unlimited rebuys as the means ?
