Most of the tournies are hard to win.
Especially when you run onto a huge player field, where you need the luck in your favor.
Cause most of the times its like one or two coin flips, setting how far you will reach.

like today i lost ak's twice vs. a2'o Smile

Just out of curiosity, who's the brm member raising and reraising with A2? did he learn nothing from here so far? or maybe he thinks that luck will always favour him... gl with that...

How pathetic, a 25$ freeroll with 1350 participants already and it's starting in 10 minutes. LOL

2720 participants now and it begins in 4 mins.

Lukasb, you need to know that on the bankrollmob freerolls that are daily on pokerstars there are tons of players especially from russia that aren't BRM members...

Plus you also need to think that these are freerolls so you should expect all kind of sick plays in general.

i'd say even hu is hard to win, not even talking about a freeroll with over a thousand or even more players who risk nothing to enter, and just play like nuts, because situation lets them do it- they will have no financial loss if they bust out, and people do not want to play it safe for a couple of hours just to be kicked out later....they just go at it right from the start

   0
well if u try to play only good cards .... an not play like donk ya shoulda end up being at least in top 200 end of 3 months ... requires at least 1-2 final table finishes tho Worship

Any freeroll is difficult to win, that's why i keep saying that a freeroll winner has to be a good player because he needs to pass through a lot of complex difficulties, like that one you just showed on the thread. How would a good player react to that flop? And how would a pro do it? You got to have enough expertise to know what are you really playing each hand you receive.

That's why is only one champion Smile All the tournaments are hard to win, need a lot of hard work and consume an big amount of luck, but the prize make all of that forgoten.
Freerolls are something different, because of zero buy-in,stress free in the early stages

Just play solid poker and it all works out... hey I don't cash in all of them but the ones I do i tend to go pretty deep. my goal is still the same as it was when this 3 month ladder started and that was top 5. I figured 12 bucks should be enough to do it when it first started and it mat still be.

I see many of the other guys in the top 10 playing in the late stages with me on a regular basis and one thing that we don't do is risk our whole stack the way you did with AK on a bluff.

yes the caller was a moron but you could have laid it down on that flop bet, which is what I would have done. Saved your 10k and have that donkey ship his chips to you on the next hand when you have the nuts.

First 11 hands in tournament 9 hands were all-in by 2 or more preflop.

20 hands later - involved in 1 pot sitting on 800 chips best hand so far - K10. Make it 665 chips. Donk next to me 9k.
Shipped 610 from the button with K-9 called by q10 and doubled up. Hand later had best hand 9-10 with 10 being top pair got called by 9-7. He got another 7 on river.
I would like you to put your first 20 hands on video, i m really puzzled how do you manage to go up so often.

My current stats in the 3pm first 55 hands are as follows

2/5 bb
3/8 sb
6/43 other positions 13%

the key is:
Pots wont at showdown are 4/4
and 3 pots won without showdown

I always play in proper position.. I don't let players limp on the hands I choose to play so i can take on a few players as possible that are stupid enough to call my 3 or 4 bet PF. I find a 3/4 BB bet is the most effective way to get players to fold and if they shove back I can evaluate there stack size and see if I want to call or get away form the hand.

I had to lay down 5 of the hands I chose to play after the flop. There is no real secret

I did get AA's dealt to me once and it took my from 3.5k to 7 but other than Ak once and 55 i have had nothing to work with other than table rep allowing me to bluff and win a few pots without showdown.

And just like everyone else .. I was forced to folded PF& post flop at least 4-5 hands that would have resulted in the nuts if i just stuck around.... but you cant play poker dwelling on the what-ifs.

I do have a secret to going deep in most of the tourneys I play... but that's whats makes me different and i like to keep that to myself. if this tourney paid out like the normal tourneys based on the participants I pretty much would cash 95% of the time..

I ended up 272. I was short stacked < 3BB 3000 in chips 600/1200 ante 125.

I had AJ and shoved with 1 caller they had 66 and hit there set. I also hit my J

Tournets are hard to win especially the BRM Pokerstars games as there is always sucha huge filed, however the game is mot to win the game but to win the league, so play percentages and gain as many high places as possible to get the top of the league.

How can table rep help me pick up pots when 9/11 pots are all in preflop sometimes 4-5 ppl. In 10 minutes blinds were 50/100 and i don't have much time to do something about it. I know i can't finish itm every time but this was "without firing a bullet"

But ok i tried next one without range only position and folding best hand couple of times. But i played terrible 2 hands in one of those i donked out for my whole stack (even tho the other guy also made even worse move) in other i got crippled things got even eventually so i m near the bubble. Time to get agressive i would say but not sure as it didn't pay off couple of times for the same reason.
I'm puzzled think i'll go back to my style now and go for 1st.

Went along great got up to decent stack when this guy pissed me off couple of times so i called steaming and was steaming even more after i lost the pot. Wrong move by far. Insulting him afterwards gave me a chance to calm down. ITM now got up to 70k but with blinds 4k/8k i ll need some luck on my side.

------------
Break in 1 min got up to 170k called all-in by lower stack with AK he had QK got Q.
Sitting at 100k
48 left some luck now is welcomed

------------
35 to go. My 33 held against lowstacks KJ and Q9 got up to 190k.
Bluffed big stack for 100k got up to 290k.
Flopped a straight holding QJ, 1 guy goes all in with flush draw, big stack calls with ace high (?!), no flush. Sitting at 700k.

Lol that Xkin river... why they need to give him a 2 on the river when all cards except that 2-2-2 will made you the winner... anyway you should shove pre-flop that is my opinion... but what can you do when you're not a lucker ? when you play online poker you need 99.99% luck and 0.01% inteligence...

And now here s the luck. Guy who got 1 outer on me for 50k earlier shipped QQ called with AQ got A. Sitting at 900k.
Raised 3bb (60k) with QJsuited got reraised all-in (40k more) called he had AQ got straight. Sitting at 780k.
KJ cracks 88. Back on 900k.
Bluffed - 980k. (blinds 15k-30k)
Stolen blind - 1 mil
Another one - 1 mil 80k (i'm chipleader now)
19 players to go
Lowstack raised my blind with A9 got cracked by K10 - 1 mil 200k
Moved to other table. (More bigstacks :/)
Lost 1 BB.
Things got crazy again playing tight - 1 mil
16 to go (blinds 25k/50k)
Went to 2nd position - 1 mil - 1st is on 1 mil 500k (blinds 30k/60k)
12 to go
Bigstack donked off - 1st again - 1 mil
Still playing tight only stole 1 BB.
back to 2nd place this is what happened Sad

That same guy donked all of it next hand with 67suited all-in preflop for 600k -.-

I m back holding QJ vs Q10 i hold off. 1 mil 300k back to 1st

3rd place 7 to go
Calling raise with 44 getting set got called getting quads back on top 2 mil
Stealing blind got reraised calling with A4 - vs Aq back to 1 mil (back to aggro)
Getting AQ vs 22 preflop all-in got Q - back on top 2 mil

donked it off on open ender vs two pair - i m an i...t (but could been nice still ^^(this truly was too much since its 3rd place minimum)) - 400k 4th
blinds 150k got 2 of them shipping AJ holds up vs some crap 800k
stolen blind 970k
failed bluff back to 500k
Two 10s hold up against a7off 1mil 200k still 4th 3rd break (YAWN)
Resumed playing kinda scared cause i want to win so fkn much. Firing up a cigarette and thinking that i need to find my cojones
Found them eventually and stole a blind
Another one stolen up to 3rd position
Shipping A10 get called by AQ and AK (wtf lol) flopped 10 AQ gets flush, and i m out in 4th with 1.81. Damn cojones.

Most freerolls and large field poker games are hard to place in the money let alone win. There was a time when I could enter the BRM Freerolls doubleup once and go to work. Once I got home from work I would check and actually would place in the money.

I can't play in these freerolls any longer ever since the whole "Black Friday" thing, but it sounds like the field size has increased tremendously. Good Luck.

Yeah 4628 people in this one. They should issue tickets to BRM members like some other similar sites already did for their private freerolls on pokerstars.

In next one deja vu:

Well these 3 were enough to remind me they are just pain in the ass and waste of time, but still want to win one. Maybe in future when they fix this huge field or up the prize money. Cheers.

It happens to all of us. This was my AA cracked

Here we are at level 2. Indi_Gandi has shoved repeatedly and played any two cards up until this point. He should have been busted three times already.

The biggest donkey at the table takes down a monster... oh well that's what happens in freerolls. I'll be back in the next one and hope for a better result.
