challenges  +1
Hi

I noticed several threads of people that started a challenge : from 0 to 100$ or from 100$ to 1000$

As I know this is not easy, but after 1 or 2 weeks they stop posting ...

So my question is : did they already gave up or just stopped posting here...

I am playing at several sites at the moment with relative low bankrolls (but I have never done a deposit, only got NDP bonusses) so I was wondering what results other players get.

Status

Terminal poker +/- 80 euro
Party Poker +/- 30 $
Yachting 1.5 $

So you see it s not making me rich but still I have spent a lot of time to get this far.
But as online poker is just a hobby, i would like to win but it s not the main purpose

Good thread. I must admit, that I think about those challenges players too... And I ask myself the same questions as you - did they gave up, or maybe they won, and don't want to share?

If you did a challenge, and posted a topic here - please refresh your topic and give us more informations about your progress... or loss.

nice bankrolls there Docky

looks like you're going the right way although i don't know how you managed to get 154 dollars on yachting as there is hardly anyone there when i go,anyway well done.

I play a lot of 4 seats qualification and when i win a seat i unregister and use the money to play in the low buy-in guaranted prize tourney and play a little in .01-.02 cash tables. Start to play there at the beginning of may after having receving the ndb of $ 5.00. Wish good luck to all mobsters. Cool

It would be nice to have a blog setup for the challeges to be kept up on and the players who want to share their results could keep posting in this section. I always like reading about everyone's chalenges, but your right, rarely do we get to see followup results or I thought maybe I was just missing some of the posts pertaining to the results.
Why doesn't someone setiup a blog for all challenges and then we'd have a specific area to follow everyone. Just a thought!

i made 90 euro on yachting within a week with the free 5euro,, playing all that was available,,,and dominate the cashtables..super aggresive poker..

but that did not last longer then a week,,,then lost it all on the 1/2 $ table.

build another roll from zero up to 60, then lost it all again.

at the moment i don't have the energy to play at yachtingpoker,,although it's the one best site to make a free bankroll..takes too much effort ,too much time...

Think i'm used to larger amounts of winning,so can't find the patience to take things slow..
must be a dutch thing...no patience at all.

i can also give an update on my roll at pokerstars..
it's down to zero again..will i ever learn???

got tilted last week,,opened 2 tournaments sng,, reached final table at both and got kicked out

7th place and 9th place,,both entering with a decent stack...on 1 my aces got cracked on the other also a bad beat...

Extualy similar situation happened twice to me last week,,already counting my profits ,ending empty handed..

mental power...deffinately a must for winnning on long term...

so i tried to win with force...playing 7 and 15 $ sng's

hope you guys won't fall in the same trap i did...(not the first time)

oh yeah..also participated in 3$ buy-inn 4000 playerfield finished 39th...again kicked out with a bad beat..wo 18 $ instead of first place 1600$...or at least reach final table.

what i need is a anti-tilt tool... Tongue Tongue

i think if someone has set up a challenge publicly and then goes missing/never updates...then he probably has given up (99% imo), there is 1% that he has made 2.34 million in net profit and doesn't want any attention on himself Big Smile
setting up a public challenge is a nice way to add a bit more motivation to you goals- since lots of people can see how you're doing- and laugh you off Big Smile

Interesting idea, Greenmohave

Personally I am not going for any challenge. I am just curious of the results of other player's challenges that they posted here in the past.
As it is not so easy to go from zero to 100. When you have a bankroll of less than 15 it's difficult to manage your bankroll or it takes a lot of time to win sevral dollars at micro stakes.

My only challenge is trying to built up a bankroll without depositing. I don't set a timing on it as I am not playing so regularly. (due to family-life)
That's why I mostly play SNG and cash tables

Yep....It would be nice to hear from even the unsuccessful ones just to see how they are doing and perhaps it would help them in terms of sharing good and bad things that have happened to them which each other could learn from to turn their zero into real cash!

thefly131, I did a challenge which I didn't finish and had to abandon the thread. Here is a link
http://www.bankrollmob.com/forum.asp?mode=thread&id...
In my case, I overestimated the amount of free time that I will have for playing and posting. So, I started the challenge enthusiastically but then got overwhelmed by the amount of work at my regular job and had to fold it. I believe many people stopped posting in their challenge threads due to the same reasons.

read the challenge, you were doing Ok I think and I would be interesting to see and talk about the hands you played.
I am also of the meaning that s it s better not to bluff on micro stakes and play as many hands (with value such as low pocket pairs, suited connectors, ..) as possible (as cheap as possible)

And if you hit a str or flush make it money time. Just go allin postflop and most players with highest pair will call.
