The name you choose to identify you at the online poker tables is also important because it is all your opponents will see when they play against you, but can what you call yourself have a bearing on how your opponents will perceive your skill levels?

i got 'soy boy'... the f**k does that mean? lol but my favorite nickname is push27offsuit, i also think that your poker nickname can give away a lot and is more often of value in low limits to know whether the persons a complete donk they might have a name such as *tiger or i dunno something corny with random numbers on the end* whereas youll know if someone enjoys playing and is fairly educated about the game if they got a name like 3BetPocketAces or a poker relevant name such as that

I recently had to change my nickname from greenmohave to mohavegreen due to Carbon Poker and Carbon Sports are somehow linked, but it's weird. I couldn't use my same username, password, or nickname. the thing that's weird it stated someone is already using greenmohave and yes I am on regular Carbon, but not Carbon Sports. I just didn't understand why everything had to be different yet it see's the name is being used.
If this makes sense?? Kinda of hard to explain once you start typing it!

based on the potential of the principle that others will 'speak' or read your name and your own name essentially has no impact on yourself as you have no need to speak your own name, i am thinking of changing my name to 'I am crap at poker'

i love my nicks. trust me when people loose a pot to someone who is "takingdrugs" it really tilts some people. some people call me all the time when i got a hand and overbet because they think im stupld and on drugs. on PKR i am "PensionPlan" people find both names funny. on full tilt i am "mihalyfi" i chose this name because its a bit more anomamus in the hopes less people will remember me when they see me playing
