So I finally get to depsoit in the Carbon Sports I recently downloaded and immediarely jump in to a $300 Guarantee for $1.10 and rebuy opportunities. I register late and rebuy once until the break and make the last rebuy. I played pretty good considering it's been awhilel and ended up at the final table finishing 5th for a mere $28+ change so I was happy overall.
I usually don't play in to many reuys, but it was there and I was inpatient. What advice does everyone have to offer as far as rebuys?
How many times should one rebuy?
How many Mobsters play rebuys and is it best to register late or get in from the start?

wrote this comment many times,,,buy-inn at last minute,,of late registration
don't rebuy ,,just do 1 add-onn...if you fail,
play the next one...and do the same...on the long run you'll end up with profit..or even win such tournament...i know it's possible...done it many times, but you should be willing to go all in with any medium hand,,,A-9 suited , Q-J ofsuit
good luck ,love to hear your comments greenmohave,,
does it work for you??? using this aproach..
i expect a thumb up after you cashed some this way..

Well I got home from work to late to give this a shot, but thanks for the feedback to all. I will take this advice to the next rebuy that I register in LATE, and will attempt the allin approach, but that's scary to me so I'll difinitely be playing a $1 or $2 rebuy game and only do the one addon.

i'd say when you take the "late registration" approach in the rebuy & addon tourney there are a couple of things to look at in the tourney structure. 1st- make sure late registration is as late as possible- ideally it is the as the rebuy period; 2nd- make sure addon is very big (is stars those tourneys have 3x definition, not sure about other platforms)- have fun

well i not done very much rebuy tourneys but most of em at least in pokerstars 1+ and 2+ are turbo ones and if u register in last mnut possible u still have to play 30 mins till addon comes and BB is by then like half or even whole stack soo it cant work to only do 1 addon lol (maybe carbon has 1+rebuy tourneys where are 15 min BB dunno (my best results from rebuy tourneys so far was both in same day and both were 2.20+R 50usd+ and 70usd+ did rebuy in both few times 4-7x)
i think best way is to not make rebuy more than last player gets paid deppends on how many cash in da prize poool

Greeting's I am new to this site. (My 1st post ever here) I have played and cashed in many types of poker turnaments. I hate rebuys in general but when I do play them I tend to do late registration and then the add-on. I do this because most of the truly idiot donks have already been knocking each other out, No more rebuys mean they die like fly's fast. Playing good poker from this point on can get you into the money oftain. I have a friend who pays all his monthly bills using this method online. Personally i was able to live for 18 month only playing poker. My problem is I when easily 20 - 30 times more oftan playing live games. Just to many stupid bad beats online. The math just does not seem to add up but thats poker i guess. I wish everyone great luck accept if your in a pot with me, then please help me win lol

Greenmohave, on one side I feel happy for you for knowing you got a prize. At first I thought you’ve been living a downsizing during a month, but after all looks like you’ve just been passing some online poker vacations. I usually don’t go on rebuys, although I always like to give a try on those try of tourneys, but only with my first buy-in. If I happen to do a rebuy, I only do one, if I would need more that will mean that most of my opponents already have a lot more chips than I and the rebuy would be worth. It’s better think about the rebuy in terms of BBs. If you’re buying 20 BBs it’s fair, but less than 10, not worth it.

Glad you were able to deposit again. Congratulations on your win also. Wish you many more to come You have to figure out before buying in. to a rebuy tournament what strategy you will follow, and that depends from the game structure, (blinds) prizepool and players that are in. If you want to play a regular rebuy, watch a couple of games before buying in, to get valuable info, which they will help you decide, how you are gonna play the game.
