You would have thought a little prayer or two may have helped her along the way and then she would have won and not needed to steal..

She belongs to that community for over 50 years and still she was able to get to know the game, actually start playing it till the point of becoming addicted and start stealing to keep playing: what a story. I guess there’s nothing wrong in having a group of nuns playing poker for fun on their leisure time, but getting to the point committing crimes is bad everywhere and gets another dimension for being a nun, with all the religious factors, leaving everyone with that feeling “how could she made that sin?” It’s more than that, it’s a crime anywhere, at least in nowadays democratic societies among the base of the pyramid.

Well Hello,
What happons to people when there told you cant do this or that?
Hmmm... let me see prohabition did not work in the USA in the early 20's. They have actual documentation which shows more people became alcoholics during the prohabition then ever before.
Well nun's are told they are not to drink, smoke, or have sex. People get bored and frustrated and I guess playing cards was ok in Sister Mary Anne's little corner of the world. I mean one can only prey so much till it gets boring and tiresome always being ignored by the big guy.
I think having a direct conection to God while gambling should give people an edge but I guess she wasn't listening to being told it was time to fold em and walk away.

You know it's sad to think anyone no matter what their beliefs love to gamble a little. I guess it's bad though when your a nun and start stealing from the church to support your problem. It's hard for me to think that one can get so addicted to gambling that they become this way. I mean it's not like it's a drug or alcohol as to where you'd go through physical withdraw if you don't have it. WOW!

Thats one big shame on mankind, that we created in our ill and hopeless mind something that irrational like religion. It created nothing good for us, just evil "in name of God".
